Everything in this place is amazing. There are so many cool decorations. We had a family of 5 and we got to sit in the Christmas room, it was so worth it. I really recommend everyone coming here if you are in town. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Salads were outstanding. The special Saturday pm around 730 was overdone and fatty. Loved the side of mashed potatoes. The Cordon Bleu was outstanding. We had plenty to fill our go-box. Will absolutely return. Loved the ambiance. Very special for the area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cool atmosphere with funky eclectic decor. Really wanted to like this place but service was very slow and inconsistent, and then my food wasn’t served hot. Our server was friendly but seemed to be the only one on the floor, not sure. My salad never made it to table ahead of meal despite asking a few times. Maybe an off night hopefully. I have never experienced such a beautiful restaurant. It is so unique. The food was amazing, but pricey. Servings were plentiful. The staff was friendly. Attendance was for a 50th Anniversary party. The couple was not served first or treated well enough for the occasion. However, we would certainly return to eat there again. We are out- of-towners, but we will return some day. Food: 5

Exceptional service from Miss Gabby (Gabrielle Patrick)! I had her write her name on a business card so I could give her a shout out when I got a moment. She was very patient with my husband and me, very informative and overall pleasant. The two meals she suggested were absolutely delicious! I had the baked chicken and dressing. You have to try that if you’re feeling for some comfort food. My husband got the salmon and he ate it all up. We were very pleased with the overall experience. The atmosphere is quite unique as well. Thanks Gabby, staff and owners!

"The last place we ventured to on our Food Fun Adventure Weekend was The Root Beer Stand in Corbin, KY. The Root Beer Stand is a drive in style burger joint located right beside Corbin High School. We ordered and split a few items from the menu. The cheeseburger was juicy and not too thick. It had a good cook to it from what I believe is a griddle. It was fully dressed with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. All in all a good burger. I ordered onion rings which were fried well and had a good crunch. The batter was a little thicker than I like, but they were tasty. I sampled the crinkle cut fries and though fried well, they did need a touch more salt.I also tried a local favorite known as the Dixie Burger. This is a hamburger with pickles and onions and a BBQ sauce. Again the burger was cooked well although not as juicy as the Cheeseburger. The onions and pickles worked well with the BBQ sauce. The sauce had a mild sweetness to it but was a bit thin. I think it was a good burger, but the sauce could be thicker for a better mouth feel and chew.My fiancé tried the Root Beer Float, which she thought was great. It had a good balance of ice cream to soda. The Root Beer Stand serves fan favorites such as burgers, chili dogs, chuck wagons and even a BBQ sandwich. The staff was friendly, and the prices are pretty cheap. One side note is they do not have public restrooms, but the waitress said if the doors are unlocked anyone can use them. The Fat Man says that The Root Beer Stand is Fat Man Approved."
