"Wild. We just moved to the area and were so excited to check out the local spot. It 's summer time. I didn 't realize there was a DRESS CODE for a hole in the wall community pub. Waaaay to posh for us anyway with that attitude. Boyfriend was wearing a tank top (not a wife beater, not something torn up and tattered, a nice tank because it 's 99 DEGREES IN MARYLAND.... okay... So we walk in and immediately get asked to leave. Is this Annapolis? Is this high school? I 've never been so turned off. You can 't wear that here HA only go in a suit and tie I guess. Can 't wait to never go back appropriately dressed ... Edit to reply: just as snarky as your staff. Not surprised. And this obsurd dress code is posted.... Where...? Oh right... It 's not. You let white men who are in all leather and patches come in nightly, but a Mexican man walks in with NO tattoos, just a target pocket tank and we gets asked to leave . Hmmm.... Okay... Love that white washed look y 'all got going on. The fact that you 've been in business that long to service only the same regulars... Your crowd and business will die out soon. NOW you can thank me for the kind words Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

The food here is topnotch, like fancy restaurant food in a pub atmosphere, good music plays from the jukebox, nice crowd. Wonderful dinner specials linclude steaks and prime rib, lobster and salmon, the regular bar food is amazing too but the specials are by far some of the most amazing food I've ever tried in my life. Reasonably priced for the amount and quality. You won't regret trying out this place! It's my new favorite. "Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."

"All right, so the the real reason I knew I had to visit this spot was that I had never seen Keith Lee 's eyes roll up in his head so many times while reviewing a restaurant. This spot is a little spendier per plate than my normal fare, but with such a glowing review, I had to give them a shot. Honestly, we were lucky that we were able to wait an hour for a spot at the bar as walk ins. Reservations are a must now that they 're blowing up, and I will plan better the next time I want some of this simple yet elegant fare. The service was impeccable, from the hostess helping us get on the wait list, to the bartender who was our server explaining the dishes as needed, keeping the food coming, and the waters topped up throughout dinner. The food was INCREDIBLE. We started with a small plate of the charred shrimp and an order of the truffle fries. The shrimp were a 9/10 only because I 'm comparing them in my mind to the truffle fries which were out of this world 12/10. My partner got the Salmon large plate and I got the Duck Confit Gumbo. She is a picky eater, but everything on her plate received her stamp of approval. I 've never eaten Collard Greens that I 've enjoyed, but the way they were prepared and presented with the Duck Gumbo dish was sublime. The whole plate of food was a cohesive journey that I couldn 't put down until it was done. I forget the French term for the dessert we got, but it was like a lemon y pudding that really tied the whole evening together. Final thoughts: This place is a little too spendy to be an every day adventure on my current budget, but the food was so amazing, I know I 'm going to be back. They pre charge an 18% tip, but they probably deserve more, as the service is impeccable. Keep up the great work, y 'all!"
