"We live local coming to Sherman’s is always something we do as a family. When we went today we placed our order got our ice cream timely but I ordered a small ice cream in a plain cone but they gave me a cup of ice cream and just stuck the cone on top of the ice cream in the cup. If I wanted ice cream in a cup I would have just ordered it that way. It was a bit lazy not what I asked for. Then my Mom got a hot fudge sundae and they must have changed their whipped cream because it was terrible. We ended up throwing the entire ice cream away. It was not good. Plus the inside is closed and you have to stand outside every time you go. This was once a place where you could sit and reminisce and look at all of the old photographs on the wall now has turned into a walk up window. It has lost its feel, its character… Terribly disappointed. Probably won’t go back…"

The. Best. Ice. Cream. EVER!!!! There are a few local places that serve ice cream from the dairy but nothing beats the original! I've been a fan for 30+ years. It hasn't changed! Thank you so much for keeping childhood memories a reality.

The ice cream at this restaurant is delicious. However, the constant noise from the traffic outside while waiting is unpleasant. Additionally, we had trouble getting water during our visit. It would be great if there was a fountain outside. It is also important for diabetic customers to have access to water.

I have been coming to Sherman's since I was a child in the 1970's! A visit to Sherman's was always the highlight of a trip to Lake Michigan for our family vacation. This place is iconic and the best ice cream in the country, which is why as an adult I and my family trav from Seattle and Dallas most summers to visit Sherman's Diary!!! Our first stop on our honeymoon tour around Lake Michigan led us to this incredible restaurant. I must caution you, if you order a single waffle cone, be ready for a whopping 5 scoops of ice cream. Yes, that's right, a single cone comes with 5 scoops! If you prefer a smaller portion or just aren't a fan of ice cream (why are you even here?), you can always order a baby size instead.

The ice cream here is so good! I’ve had ice cream from north side memories and it had a hair in it and the owner Jamie didn’t even use gloves when scooping. Her arm and elbow were scraping the inside of the ice cream container. Very unsanitary! All the employees and owners at Sherman’s are so much nicer than north side memories! I ALWAYS recommend friends and tourists to go here instead and will continue to do so!
