"The food here is of excellent quality. To begin with, Simon—the owner, chef, and server—is a wonderful person who creates a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. He’s a genuine guy from Casablanca. While you savor a fantastic Moroccan or Greek dish, you can enjoy a conversation with Simon in nearly any language you prefer, as he speaks English, French, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, and Spanish. The food is exceptionally fresh; we tried a salad and could really taste the freshness of the vegetables. He uses top-notch ingredients. The hummus is among the best in town, and the Chicken Tagine with tomatoes and olives is excellent. If you judge the restaurant by its decor, the prices might seem a bit high, but it’s worth every penny, with prices ranging from $8 to $18. This place truly is a gem in the Valley."

I love Simon's so much that I make the trip to eat there at least once a month, even though I live 15 miles away.

A few years ago, my parents visited Simon's after reading an article about it in the LA Daily News, and we've been fans ever since. The food is fantastic, and Simon is probably the nicest person you could ever meet.

I absolutely adore Simon and his café. The food is incredibly well-prepared! I had chicken cooked with green olives and tomatoes served over couscous, accompanied by a side of stewed vegetables. It was utterly delicious—just like a comforting home-cooked meal.

Simon's Cafe does a spot-on job of preparing everything from scratch and to order. His Moroccan dishes are highlights; particularly the mixed appetizer plate with pita, tender lamb tajine, and chicken tajine with dried fruits. He's a kind man, always there, always cooking, and pretty much a one-man-band. Let's support our non-corporate neighborhood eateries! View menu

The aromas were delightful, and the food was incredibly fresh, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. It wasn’t anything extravagant, just genuinely good, hearty food. The chef even came out to check on us and ensure we were happy with our meal, which we definitely were. It’s a fantastic spot for sharing, with a wide variety of options. Our teens entered with complaints but left with big smiles!

Simon is truly exceptional. If you haven't yet, make sure to visit Simon's Cafe. He is a world-class chef, and his dishes are absolutely incredible. Simon takes immense pride in everything that comes out of his kitchen, and all of his food is made from scratch—he never takes shortcuts. The salads are fresh and light, and his falafel is the best you'll find in town. The lamb dishes are a favorite among all my friends, as are the beef brochettes. I've been a regular for many years and have never felt disappointed after my visits to Simon's. Try this place once, and I guarantee you'll be hooked! View menu

"Deja Vu Cakes is a fantastic bakery that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious treat. This family-owned bakery is run by a husband and wife who bake everything on-site, and their commitment to using only all-natural ingredients with no artificial additives is admirable.I visited this bakery on St. Patrick's Day, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, making me feel welcome and appreciated from the moment I walked in. They had a fantastic selection of seasonal cupcakes displayed top-level of the display case that are beautifully decorated and a sight to behold which included the St. Patrick's Day cupcake with a gold coin on top. The St. Patrick's Day cupcake was a red velvet cake, colored green, and topped with a gold chocolate coin. The frosting was creamy and rich, and our daughter loved it.The Bailey's cupcakes had some alcohol in them, and they were a real treat. The frosting was creamy and rich, and the cupcakes were moist and flavorful. We enjoyed every bite. The bakery's prices are also reasonable, ranging from 4-5 dollars per item. The shop itself is cute and has a welcoming atmosphere, with a friendly and hospitable staff that makes the entire experience even more enjoyable.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Deja Vu Cakes and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and friendly bakery.I highly recommend Deja Vu Cakes for their excellent customer service, quality cupcakes, and commitment to using all-natural ingredients. If you're looking for a delicious and welcoming bakery, this is the place to go."
