"I don't take any joy in giving a negative review for anyone particularly since we had good service but I regularly smoke food myself and have eaten at smoke restaurants all over north Carolina, Tennessee, new York, St Louis, Montana and really all over the USA and occasionally in Canada. This was the worst brisket I've ever eaten. It was so dried it the flavor was unrecognizable. In a blind test I would never have recognized it as beef or even something smoked. And sadly the Jamaican jerk chicken was worse. It's unimaginable to me how anyone could dry something out so badly. It was like eating the stuffing out a sofa cushion. It's a bad sign when you go to a smoke restaurant and the best part of the meal was pasta. We are not critical eaters but we were both horribly disappointed"

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a group of The service was wonderful. They even brought out a large desert with sparklers out at the end. Everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere was great

The food was great! It was a far drive from Airdrie but overall a great experience. Would recommend as a casual pit stop over a special occasion dining stop. Not overly expensive for a smoke house either. Highly would recommend the cornbread fritters! View menu

The food was amazing! Perhaps a bit too much, we both went home with a lot of left overs! The servers were very friendly. We did feel bad because it wasn't busy, I hope this restaurant does well because it was great. Definitely recommend that people try out this place. Was even impressed to see a small vegan menu

When we first walked in we were a bit surprised with the ikea furniture. The cocktails we ordered were okay and the appetizers were really good. The main meat dishes however were quite dry and there were next to no bbq sauce accompaniments. A couple people ordered the bananas foster for dessert and found it extremely unappetizing. We will likely not go again

We went there for dinner for my husband’s birthday As we read reviews about the restaurant and they were nothing but good , but when we arrived We were surprised to see that there Was no One in the restaurant . It really did benefit us in the long run as we had the place all to ourselves the service was Amazing the food outstanding !!!!!! The atmosphere was wonderful. The drink we’re well we kept them coming . I don’t have a single complaint except that there’s not enough buzz about this restaurant. Interesting menu here, lots of enticing choices. We went with people. Menu has brisket, ribs, chicken, others, lots of appies, nicely thought out menu. We had Brussels Sprouts and Fritters and Asparagus appies, all good, especially the sprouts and the fritters, which were both really, really good. Ribs were tender, moist, but pretty average. Brisket was terrible though, completely dried out, tough and no flavour. I've eaten brisket at a lot of places, and this was the worst. Don't really know how they could screw it up so bad, and I wonder why they even served it at all. Good service, nice bright place

I used to be a sous chef so I am well aware of food costs and trends. Prices, like most of Calgary restaurants, especially the newer ones, go out of their way to be overly expensive and qualify it by prefacing it as something new or unique. That being said, the food and service were excellent and I would go again but I would caution any couple to limit themselves to one dish each, one appetizer only and no alcohol. Then eating here would be reasonable. Otherwise, for more people or a more expansive experience, prepare to spend in an evening. No meal out, regardless of location, food quality, trendiness or service is worth that
