"The food was amazing, better than I honestly would have thought. My husband is very picky and said the chicken tenders were the best he’s ever had (they are beer battered similar to fish n chips). A lot of the menu items had spicy ingredients, for example the Mac cheese is made with a spicy cheese so my kids couldn’t eat it but they both found other options they were happy with. No kids menu, and the service was on the slow side, but it was still a great experience and I would recommend"

We stopped in to get some drinks and appetizers before heading home; this was the perfect stop. Awesome service and great appetizer options! View menu

We were seated downstairs at the bar level for the first time. Previously we have eaten upstairs. Much livelier (and noisier); a completely different experience. Recommend asking g to be seated upstairs if you want a dining experience! Good food, good value, and always good service.

I dined at Solas in the evening. I had the French Onion soup to start. It was delicious! I followed it up with the chicken curry…a very generous portion with a lot of chicken, coupled with almonds and raisins. My server was great…very friendly and personable! She was very attentive and paced the meal perfectly. I enjoyed my visit and I highly recommend Solas! View menu

We were staying near by and wanted some pub food. Our reservation was honored on time. The wait staff was attentive and food was great and came as described. Biggest issue is noise level and music level. very noisy and loud and place was not even super busy. Problem is there is no sound absorbing surfaces to disaimpate noise and with music volume too high takes away ambience to enjoy meal.

Loved this Irish tavern. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. We were glad we had a reservation. Customers without a reservation had an hour and a half wait. We had sandwiches with fries and a couple of drink. The prices are very reasonalbe for Boston. Since it was an Irish tavern, we would have loved to have heard Irish Christmas music from their sound system rather than rock and roll. We sat down at 6pm promptly and didn't leave until 8:30. We would go back for sure.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
