"It's disheartening to update my review. Last year, this was a 5/5 experience and I raved about it to everyone I knew. Fast forward to this weekend and I took some out of town guests here only to be hugely disappointed by the experience. There was one server for the entire restaurant and mind you, he was the host, bartender, server, and literally everything in between. No fault of his but why were more people not hired or scheduled on a weekend? The poor chap was running around and no one got drink refills, more water, check on time. It was unbelievably ridiculous. We couldn't order more drinks or food even if we wanted to. The state of the restaurant had me embarrassed in front of my guests who were probably wondering why I brought them here. Even the burrata crostini came out rock hard and cold. What was once a favorite has sadly fallen. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon and certainly not with guests. I hope the owner/manager take their service into account. I'm being incredibly generous with 3 stars but I'm taking previous experiences into account."

Listen. I'm from NJ and tried ever pizza in LA. This is hands down the best one. I'm so sad we moved out of Marina so we don't get to go here as often anymore. Thank you for the many nights of heavenly pesto burrata goodness.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was excellent. The selection of wines was both good and intriguing. I visited with a friend on a Monday evening, and it was pleasantly quiet. Parking was convenient, with options available both in the lot and on the street. View menu

Mmm, pizza!!! Thin crust, ultra-premium quality pizza! LOVED my visit to South End. Fun spot with cool ambiance, great service and excellent food. Lots of wine to choose from and a couple Italian beers. Salads were very fresh and lightly dressed to perfection. Pizza is the star of the show at South End. Not sure how they do it, but the thin crust was divine, so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Toppings were fresh and high quality. Thank you, South End. 5 stars

I ordered the Kinney pizza and beet salad through Postmates. The pizza was drenched in olive oil and the salad had rotten and wilted greens in it. When I called the restaurant after the app instructed me to call directly, the girl who answered basically did nothing to help with the issue. She offered 'a beet salad on us next time you come in '. Really? Absolutely gross. Why would I ever come back? And what if I don 't live here (or nearby)? Don 't get tempted to get the buy 1 get 1 salad promo from postmates, you 'll get nasty old wilted greens (pics attached).

From the street you would never know that this place is as amazing as it is! If you blink you could miss it! I love it when I find a hidden gem. That is exactly what this spot is! A total treasure! Stopped by on a week night and had to find out what deep fried pizza was...delicious is what it is! It was really cool. There was like a solo guitar is playing like acoustic music and it was like a five but sounded amazing and I love that we had our server come up to us and asked us what we needed and I was like cool man... It just felt good and well we ordered. It was delicious and I highly recommend south end to anybody. View menu

We really wanted to like this place, but the food and service were disappointing, and we felt it was overpriced. The pasta special for the night was vodka penne in a clay pot covered with pizza dough. Sounded intriguing, but it was just a tiny bit of under-seasoned pasta covered by a charred flap of pizza dough. $27. The kinney pizza is a decent take on a margarita pizza, but $26? The rucola salad was mostly a big pile of arugula and it didn 't have enough dressing. $19. My glass of Malbec was decent, but disappointing for $17. These prices wouldn 't be bad if the restaurant was in the middle of Abbot Kinney and there were three servers taking care of everyone. But it 's in a divey little st...

Pro: wines, service, variety of pizzas. Tip: best for 2-3 people intimate meet ups, ask for spicy oil and sauce. The owner is very welcoming and made us feel at home. The space is cozy and has both outdoor and indoor spaces. Reservations are recommended given the space is rather small. Came in on a Tuesday with a large group to celebrate a birthday and it felt a bit tight. I would rather recommend this for a smaller intimate meeting. Food rundown: I got to try a few of the pizzas, if you like sourdough and crunchy crusts this place is for you! The Kinney as well as any with meats and potato were bomb. I think the menu could be reduced given many of the pizzas were similar. I also feel some p...
