"Our recent visit to this restaurant was a delightful experience, thanks to both the delicious food and the exceptional service. We ordered chicken tikka masala with plain naan, and we were thrilled by the rich flavors and perfect textures that filled our plates. In addition to the tasty dishes, the cleanliness of the restaurant stood out, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, clearly showing that the staff prioritizes hygiene and presentation. What truly enhanced our visit was the warm and attentive service we received. The woman who took our order greeted us with a big smile and showed genuine kindness throughout our meal. Her friendly attitude made us feel welcomed and appreciated as customers. In conclusion, this restaurant offers a wonderful mix of flavorful dishes, outstanding cleanliness, and excellent customer service. Small gem, very delicious Indian food. Highly recommend chicken Tikka on a hot cast iron plate.

This is the most genuine Indian cuisine in the South End. It's even a favorite spot for my friends visiting from India.

Amazing food at reasonable prices. Parking can be a little difficult at time for picking up food but well worth the hassle. Staff are friendly and helpful with menu choices and accommodations!

The tikka masala, garlic naan, veggie samosa, and mango lassi were all excellent choices for lunch. The food was packaged well, the portions were good, and it arrived quickly. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

The staff here is friendly, and you have the option to order online or by phone. I highly recommend the chef's special—it's only available for in-person or phone orders, and the price is fantastic. Plus, it changes daily! View menu

The restaurant offers tasty, authentic family recipes and allows you to choose the level of spiciness. Personally, I find that level 3 gives my mouth a pleasant tingle, while level 4 is just spicy enough to require rice and naan to mellow it out. The Chicken Tikka Masala is incredibly delicious; it's so good that I haven't even ventured to try anything else on the menu yet!

Its not the best looking photo but this dish is so good! I also had the tikka masala which I loved (usually my fave/go to) but this blew me away. I have ordered it at least 3 times since my firt time trying it a couple weeks ago. The flavors, they are perfect and so fragrant, love the dressing they give with the dish it brings it over the top. The meat is tender (seems to be boneless skinless thighs off the texture). Usually when I get rice dishes I expect them to skimp on the meat but every time Ive ordered this theres hella chicken throughout the dish. My first time ordering I thought I was breaking up rice and tore a peace of chicken in half. Ugh. This place is the bees knees!!! Ive never...

"Let me start by stating that I don’t do online reviews, I’m way to lazy. But after my last experience here, I felt absolutely compelled to make sure this place got the recognition it deserves. My girlfriend and I have gone there twice in the past week. Our first time there, we had such a pleasant time. The food was fantastic! We had gotten the braised beef soup, pork soup dumplings, tofu puff and glass noodle soup, then the pork and veggie steam buns. At first I was apprehensive about the cost, roughly 10-14 per dish. But after we got our food, my worries diminished. Everything was absolutely delicious! The braised beef soup was the definition of “to die for”. Enough so that it brought us back again at the end of the week! This time was not as good, it was phenomenally better!!! My girlfriend and I both got the braised beef soup this time, after last time being so incredible. We were not disappointed! It was heavenly! Though the food was the reason we came back, our server is the inspiration for this review(not to belittle the other employees . Our servers name was Jun. Within moments of being seated, he arrived with a smile on his face and took our drink order. After returning with our drinks, he helped us make our minds up on what side to order. This time, in tandem with the two braised beef soups, we got the pork chop fried rice(w/ white rice). The pork chop fried rice was ridiculously good. We could not get over how delicious the pork chop was! Then he made some small talk and made us feel more immersed in our dinning experience. We were enjoying not only the food, but the environment almost as much. He wasn’t overly talkative, but just the right amount to make our experience feel important, and unique. Nearing the end of our second trip there, we found ourselves not just talking about how outrageously good our food was, but how friendly and attentive our server was. From the fast meet and greet, to the way he always made sure our drinks were full, without us asking. Which seems like an easy task, but in combination with the huge amount of customers, and my ability to consume copious amounts of beverages(almost to an embarrassing extent), it’s often a servers nightmare. If there’s anything that can ruin an experience, it’s constantly having to wait for a drink refill(which for me seems to always be a problem), but not once was I left with that frustration. At the end of it all, it left us with such a strong positive impression, that we feel that Din Tai Fung will easily be one of our regular go to destinations for amazing food, and exceptional customer service. Thank you so much Jun for the incredible experience, you truly made our night memorable! We will be returning soon!!!"

"We visited on 7/12/2024 at 6:15 pm. There is street parking along with parking on the side and in the back of the restaurant for those that drive. The bus also goes right by it you want to use public transportation. While very busy, there was a table available and we were seated immediately. This is in a converted house at the corner of Rainier and 68th in south Seattle. Out front there are a handful of tables and you can see Lake Washington. Be aware that Rainier is a busy, noisy street so be prepared if you do eat outside. Inside there is a bar that looks like it seats 6 7 people. There are many tables inside from 2 tops to 8+ for a variety of seating accomodations. The host was very friendly and attentive which made our initial experience and impression very good. Our server Liza was also very prompt, helpful and friendly. Again, a very positive and pleasant experience. We started with a bottle of white Pecorino wine that was on their specials list. Tasty and went well with our appetizer of burrata/pesto/sweet pepper sauce, also on their specials list. We really enjoyed them. The pepper sauce and pesto were very flavorful and a good compliment to the rich burrata cheese. The appetizer also came with pizza crust pieces for the cheese. We had the Sorrento pizza for our main which was plenty for two people. It was tomato sauce, crimini mushrooms, gaeta olives, mozzarella, basil, capers and prosciutto. It was delicious! The edges were medium sized and the center crust was nice and thin typical of that style. Overall the crust had a very pleasant chew. It was cooked to light golden brown and was cooked perfectly all around. No half burnt or burnt on one side and barely done on the other it was nice and even all the way around. The flavors went together wonderfully. The salty olives, capers and prosciutto were great compliments to the light tang of the tomato sauce, the flavorful earthyness of the mushrooms and the herbal basil. Overall very flavorful and I would have it again. Based on food quality, atmosphere, and great service from our server Liza, I would highly recommend. Great for couples date night, great for families, and perfect if you just want to sit at the bar and have you meal. Parking: Multiple street parking options plus a gravel lot on the side and in back of the restaurant. Kid friendliness: Good place for families with kids. They do have high chairs."
