"However, there's room for improvement with the wine menu. Unfortunately, there isn't a single standout white wine option by the glass, and the red wines are mediocre at best. As for the interior and atmosphere, this aspect can be quite disappointing if you're seated in the middle section next to the open kitchen, which seems to have little to no ventilation. The entire room is filled with smoke and grease, making it an unpleasant space to enjoy your evening. The kitchen odors are so pervasive that the wooden floor becomes dangerously slippery to walk on. We intended to indulge in dessert, but by the time we finished our main course, our eyes were watering, and we simply wanted to leave that smelly, greasy environment. This restaurant is in urgent need of proper ventilation; as it stands, the situation is unacceptable and significantly detracts from what could have been a memorable dining experience."

Excellent dinner. They had a bluefish special that was pretty much the quintessential summer meal. Friendly competent servers and nice drinks. View menu

The food was excellent. We waited 50 minutes from finishing our appetizer to receiving our entree. During that time our waiter who looked like Jason Mimoa never once came back to ask if we wanted another drink or to update us on our entrees and to why it was taking so long. So, with that said , this guy really needs to work on his skills as a server .

Our favorite meal in Portland! We had fresh oysters, local bread, octopus appetizer, and lobster fra diavolo. The octopus was the most tender I’ve ever eaten. The fra diavolo was a huge portion I shared with my husband and we ended up taking some home with us. The service was incredible. The quality and flavor were superb. Can’t wait for our next trip back to the area to enjoy another meal here. View menu

We had an amazing evening dining at Street Co. Reservations are highly recommended, although they were able to accommodate our party of floor. We were so impressed we the servers. They made our experience so much more enjoyable. They had an extensive wine list and we enjoyed two fantastic bottles. Our meals were perfect and served warm in charming skillets. Make sure you save room for dessert it was so yummy.

Five stars! The branzino was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection—it truly melted in my mouth. The bread, sourced from their sister bakery Standard Baking Co., is simply divine: airy, chewy, and perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauces on the plate. This restaurant has long set the standard in the Northeast, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The food is truly comforting, crafted by skilled chefs who excel in the culinary arts, all complemented by exceptional service. Thank you, Street and Co!

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
