"This place was found after being overwhelmed by the Christmas masses in the Cross Gates Mall, it is only on the street from the shopping center. It was the perfect retreat and it wasn't too packed. You have a fantastic menu and the selections I have tried so far were really well done and super fresh. I was half a dozen times and didn't even scratch the surface of the offer. The design of beer selection of Japanese domestic brews is the best notch, and the sushi bar is professional as they come. You have a cool back room that I think you can rent for an authentic Japanese dinner party. 10/10. Go back (three minutes drive) to get another lunch special and a beer! Cheers!"

Another great sushi place to add into the rotation. The decor is full of Old world charm that you wouldn't expect from the outside. A lot of appetizers that you don't normally see in other restaurants in the area. The Miso soup was excellent and very filling and the couple rolls I had were just as good.

I ordered today using delivery. This restaurant delivered the wrong food. When I called them they were very rude and argumentative. I paid $46.00. I ordered tempura soba but received tempura udon. Photo uploaded. I did eat the Gyzo it was bad. Spoiled meat. Greasy vegetables. I would give this 0 stars if I could. Service: Delivery Meal type: Lunch

Favorite Japanese restaurant in Albany. I love this place. I come here all the time for lunch. The food is amazing and the staff are so nice. Edit: So I just devoured the sushi in the image I posted with this review and that was the greatest sushi I have ever had, and I have had a lot of sushi. Just wow... So flavourful!! They even gave me fruit after I was finished eating! I'm gonna keep adding photos of the amazing food.

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
