"Man, been coming here for years all through the pandemic too. Loved it, spent a lot of time in Japan so I am familiar. So prices started going up, a lot (understandable) portions started getting smaller, veggie plate more skimpy then they added a smaller size in addition to AYCE. We always get the larger size, which is fine. We always ask for a little more rice, (they serve a small scoop in the bowl) and sauces and that is never a problem. Last time we went everything was as normal until the bill came. We were charged for two extra rice bowls each as well as $4 for a bit more Napa cabbage (as there was almost nothing on the vegetable plate)I asked the lady server and she informed me that we should have ordered AYCE if we wanted extra anything! ...everything was to be charged a La carte. I explained that this had never been the case before but no luck. She told me that wasn't true. Maybe I am lying. Ya don't charge extra for a scoop of rice!! That is pretty cheeky. I'm giving the place three stars and I really hope they get their act together because I do like the place and the people that work there. Having been in the hospitality business myself and a former restaurant owner, you never want to lose customers. We are now on an adventure to explore out all the other Shabu places in town."

We made a reservation for 4 ppl for 5 pm. Gave last name. Came at 4:55. We were told it will be 1,5 hour wait. The place was packed. We said we had a reservation. The gentleman looked around, ran to the back and hid for 7 full minutes. Literally hid. Never came out. We left. The picture is when we were leaving.

Wow ! The food was fresh and nicely presented. Love eating hot pot style with all the fresh vegetables and if you like choice of meat. The best part of our dining experience was our server Ramon. He was so pleasant and helpful. He catered to all ourrequests with his wonderful smile and happy attitude. We will be returning here often.

I was hesitant at first because In my opinion it seemed a little plain but boy was I soooo wrong! The food has soooo mucb flavor and the swish broth is sooo yummy. Very fresh ingredients friendly service worth it for the price for AYCE. Not one complaint. My husband who typically doesnt like to eat out liked it and rated it a 8 out of 10 and thats really high for him View menu

Every once in a while in one's dining exploration, you will come across a person that makes a significant positive impact in your dining experience. That occurred to us this evening when we met Arnold. The food that they serve is top notch and the meat is manually cut. But let me tell you, Arnold made our dining experience exceptional. He's very attentive, personable and sincere. I understand why people come back to dine here. The food is 5 stars and Arnold and his crew...10+ stars. Thank you and we will see you guys again.

I'm sorry to say this, but this place food is really not that good. The meat was tough and it was cut too big to eat. The size of the meat is not the size for shabu-shabu. The vegetables don't come out fresh, and all the plates on which the food isserved feel dirty. The owner seems to be someone who doesn't know shabu-shabu. The distance between the pot and the table toeat is so inconvenient to eat. It seems that the owner of another shabu-shabu restaurant will have to go and try it and changeit. The best thing about this restaurant was the friendly service of the waiters like Rocker. If it hadn't been for thatperson's friendly service, I'd have been really angry and left. never going again...

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
