"Listen, I want to clarify that the two stars don't reflect the exceptionally friendly staff. This place is a charming little taco joint in the neighborhood, and my friend and I were eager to try something new in the city. I really wanted to enjoy it because of the atmosphere and the kind employees, but the food just didn't meet the mark for a taco restaurant. We ordered ceviche, steak nachos, and four types of tacos: bacon-wrapped shrimp, ribeye, blackened fish, and another shrimp variation. Unfortunately, the flavors and quality were lacking."

The service was great. When I was seated the service was not on point as it usually does.

The brisket in the El Chapo comes on a shovel and is a must try! It’s a giant portion so I’d definitely split it with friends!

This place had everything!! If you were looking for some kind of sterile hospital. There were lonely men staring out the window and people jettison around like they didn't know where they were.

Did not work for me. Ceviche was not fresh. The meat in the tacos was no arrachera meat and was chewy and the tortilla super oily. They served so fast me that obviously the tacos were already made before I placed the order

Was very disappointed with a pick up order. Gave us the wrong order and the food was cold. Their tacos at this location aren’t the same as the OG Tata’s… I haven’t tried their food as dine-in, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. View menu

The smell alone made me take notice, at first I walked past looking for someplace else. But I keep thinking of the smell and the pizza I saw. So I went back and wasn't disappointed. The cheese was awesome, sauce and pepperoni very good. Great experience, is definitely stop back in for another pie.

Fantastic drinks and tacos! They have a lovely patio for warm days and a comfortable indoor area for the rest of the year. I usually stick with the classic taco menu, which is always on point, though the craft options are also delicious. Whether you dine in or take out, it’s a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
