"This was a surprise for us. We thought it would be a fancy place. It was lovely, not fancy and the ambience was great. Service was perfect . Menu was interesting, somewhat limited but the food we ordered was terrific! They have Sunday brunch now. We will definitely try that too.great outdoor seating and windows in the bar open up to the sidewalk. All in all a gem of a restaurant."

Our personal version of comfort food. We have been regulars for quite sometime now. Striped bass is awesome!

This was my first time and it was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding not to mention the great playlist that accompanied brunch. Two thumbs way up! Already have been recommending this spot to friends :

What a beautiful restaurant with delicious food! I've been a big fan of the chef since his time at Zealous in Elmhurst, and he has never disappointed. His dishes are always thoughtfully prepared. I can't wait to return! Both the fried chicken and short ribs are fantastic choices!

It was generally disappointing. Had the fried chicken which was very good. Served without any potatoes and with some green beans that seemed liked canned with no flavor or any salt. Pork chop was good. Burger meat was great but the fries were limp and tasteless. too expensive this quality food. View menu

The food was very good! Complex and interesting flavors. The chef came out and talked with us after the meal which we enjoyed. I wish the music in the restaurant had been a little louder to help with the ambiance. The restaurant was very empty for a Saturday night so that gave us a bad initial impression, but we were very happy with the service and food.

How lovely to find a restaurant where the main courses stand up to the appetizers, which is increasingly rare these days. The food here is lovely well-executed, the service attentive but not overbearing. The striped bass mussels with bok choy in a red coconut broth was heavenly. The scene is delightfully urban. This is a great place to spend a nice summer evening al fresco.!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
