"I hadn't been here in forever and then ended up going two weeks in a row for breakfast with different friends. Yep, it was and is that good. I had their amazing House Corned Beef Hash the first time and their equally delicious Meaty Pete Scramble on my second visit. Everything was hot and prepared perfectly and you get real butter and house made jam with your toast, muffin or biscuit. The atmosphere is antique bistro/soda fountain with plenty of cool and historic things to look at. Step out the door, take two quick lefts and an amazing view of the sound awaits. Lastly, the waitresses (a different one each visit) were friendly, knew the menu very well and were highly efficient, my coffee cup was never empty. One of the best all around breakfast meals I've had in awhile, I will definitely be going back soon."

The food is excellent. The vintage drug store cabinets and charm of the older building create a unique atmosphere. This is the best brunch spot in the area!

Very simple very interesting place the food is great I had a huckleberry Italian soda that was delicious. Clam chowder was delicious and old fashioned candy that they make .

I took my daughter for brunch on Sunday, which is the only day they serve breakfast all day. We ordered an Italian soda and a caramel waffle, and everything was delicious. Our waiter, Gabriel, was incredibly sweet and attentive, making our experience truly enjoyable. Everyone who assisted us that day was kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place—10/10! Every time we've tried eating here, we've been turned away. We were told it would take an hour to seat us, then our food would take over an hour to serve. I'd understand if they were honestly busy, but there were two tables of people. The second time we asked if we could get a coffee or milkshake since there, again, wasn't actually a rush and were told all the machines were broken and they were too busy...

If you appreciate vintage charm and classic ambiance, this restaurant is perfect for you. It feels like dining in an antique shop that once operated as an actual drugstore and post office. The space isn’t crammed with tables, ensuring a peaceful and uncrowded atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxed breakfast with your loved one or for gathering a large family to showcase the best of the South Sound region.

The Bair is a unique restaurant that is also a living museum. It is located in a historic building that is filled with very cool old stuff, making you feel like you are back in the early 1900s. The restaurant has a wide variety of food options, including lots of gluten-free choices. Everything is made to order and delicious. The Bair is a great place to check out and experience. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we are in the area. Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten free options available that made my celiac girlfriend very happy. View menu

For four generations, our family has cherished this restaurant. The current owner creates delicious dishes, pouring her heart and expertise into every recipe. Today, we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their lovely outdoor dining area, and we were well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the friendly, attentive service, sharing many nostalgic conversations about visiting The Bair over the years (including when Mom worked here part-time). It was a memorable, special occasion with fabulous food and wonderful people. Thank you, Sara, and your amazing team!

I recommend eating before you come. Expect to be here for 1.5 to 2 hours. I was told I had to get on the waitlist to be seated, which is fine. It was just weird because the place was only half full. I came back after it had been well past time, and I was seated. We got our food after sitting in a half-full restaurant for about an hour. Food is great, service not so much. It’s like, they don’t really care if you come here or not. Or like they want to deter you from coming in. It’s so strange. If you’re not in a rush, this is a great place to come. But if you have under an hour and a half, maybe go elsewhere.
