"The aroma of Jose 's fresh baked breads, croissants and hand-rolled baguettes envelop the no nonsense dining room, caressing like grandmama 's embrace. Here, baking is art. Your eyes devour the pastries long before the pleasure passes your lips. THE BAKER BAKERY CAFE is a terrific brasserie. (I absorbed a petit French vocabulary watching Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, and Oscar Levant in the MGM musical, An American in Paris. Incidentally, the film was photographed in the early 1950 's, on 44 sets in Culver City, California, about ten miles South, down the 405. The servers understand that they are serving quality and respect the customer 's subtlety of choice. Chef Adman 's sandwiches are thick and delicious. His interpretation of a classic French omelette is, according to my wife, terrific. His salads, also generous, are fresh and crisp. There are a few vegan items on the menu. The Baker 's coffee, their espresso brew, is magnifique. Your server greats you with an assortment of freshly baked breads and a tray of condiments. My wife enjoys the whipped butter and cheese spread, while I munch on the salted olives, and spread their homemade jelly on the warm whole wheat breads. (Sometimes diets be damné. My wife ordered the omelette and I the vegan, veggie sandwich and lentil soup combo. The sandwich is available with a choice of a side salad, fries, fresh fruit, or a choice of soups. The bowl of rich, slightly spicy, vegan lentil soup, complemented with cubes of boiled potato, is more than satisfying. My wife 's golden-yellow omelette and crisp bacon arrived steaming warm and delicious. She also ordered her favorite coffee drink: a single shot of decaf espresso, placed into a large cup. Then, non-fat foam is scooped into the cup, to its rim. She enjoys it with a spoon. The large veggie-hummus sandwich, containing avocado, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and roasted red peppers, are served on a hummus coated, freshly baked baguette or thick bread slices. I selected raisin/walnut bread. Déleciux! Under Jackie 's ownership, THE BAKER BAKERY CAFE has expanded, adding additional seating. A children 's menu is attached to the regular menu. Outside, tables hug the front window, inside, the dinning area has increased by a third and their kitchen area has doubled. The pleasure of their meals have remained magnifique. A meal at The Baker Restaurant Bakery runs $20 or so. I usually eat only half of their generous serving, and take the rest home. STUFF: A selection of Jose 's still warm breads are displayed. The breads will be sliced to order. There are no booths. Everything is wheelchair accessible, including the gender-neutral bathroom. Parking is free, although limited. Street parking is available. When using street parking, there is an slight incline and a low curb."

Love this place. They have fresh baked bread and their food is really well made. Good lattes. Prices are decent and costumer service is excellent. Very cute cafe. I'll definitely return.

Everything was great. I can't wait to come back. The place is nice, very quiet and private. It has a lot of Israeli food. If you're also looking for. Place with great bread. This is the spot.

Great food, but in my opinion, it is pretty pricey. I did love that they bring you a wooden board with fresh bread and 4 different spreads. that was my favorite part. They have some outdoor sitting. View menu

Yummy!!! A lovely and extensive menu in a nice, welcome, comfortable area. I had a veggie breakfast burrito that was bomb. Their baked goods looked amazing but I didn't try this time. A great reason to come back!

This place is wonderful! While visiting from Colorado, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in for breakfast. The food was spectacular and the staff make you feel right at home. If you're in the area, definitely check it out! Oh, and make sure to try the cream puffs!

Great place to have a simple yet delicious breakfast. I usually go here with my daughter to catch up. There is outdoor seating and you can bring your dog along. The fresh baked breads are my favorite and we often purchase loaves to take back home with us. The pastries are great as well. View menu

My wife and I went the The Baker today and our experience was fantastic. It is truly a gem. The food is delicious (compliments to the chef) the bread is baked fresh, and the customer service was great. We are definitely going back. Looking forward to trying the blackened salmon. We thank you very much for providing such a memorable experience. Bernard and Tiara

The only downfall here, is that everything is VERY expensive. $13 for an egg salad sandwich, which wasn't very flavorful, but the bread was good. We came in at night, and the bread was still really fresh and delicious. The $15 basic veggie burger was much better, but it should have been more like $9, $10 tops. The service was very nice, and the lady serving us was kind. We probabaly won't be back for a meal, but I would totally come here to buy fresh bread or baked goods:

"They do provide delivery through Restaurants on the Run, but for a hefty fee. Anarbagh offers free local delivery within a five-mile radius, or you can place a takeout order to enjoy a 15% discount. Be prepared for a small wait during dinner hours, as this place has become quite popular. The restaurant has recently been remodeled with new booths, stunning watercolor sky murals on the ceiling, and updated lighting. Street parking on Ventura Blvd. can be tricky, but there is free parking available at the back. The chicken tikka masala here is the best I’ve tasted, having tried it at numerous Indian restaurants across the country. The sauce is rich and creamy, with a wonderful blend of spices and tender, perfectly cooked chicken. One standout dish that I particularly love is the Lamb Mango Masala—tender chunks of lamb in a sauce that tastes like a blend of sweet BBQ and mango chutney. It’s delicious and a great option for those who claim they don’t like lamb. Their dinner for two is an incredible deal at under $40 and includes everything from appetizers and chicken tandoori to a meat curry, a vegetable dish, rice, naan bread, papads, chutney, dessert (gulab jamun, ice cream or baklava), and your choice of soft drinks or tea/coffee. There's also the occasional $10 off coupon in the local mail, which makes it even more appealing. My only wish is that they had a lunch buffet like many other Indian restaurants in the area, but their exceptional dinner offerings more than compensate for that."

"If I recall correctly, I went in here about a week ago around 1 PM. First time here, found it on Google maps when I was just looking for somewhere I had never been. I cannot remember my server's name but he was a nice young man who provided amazing service. Fast, friendly and he checked back with me to ask how the food was the food was absolutely divine by the way! I had the lunch special. I went with the half chicken parm sandwich with potato wedges and the minestrone soup. It was so good I'm practically salivating on my keyboard as I type this... and it was only $15.99 trust me, the portions are big enough and the quality high enough to warrant the price tag AND make it feel like you got a great deal. I myself was not hungry for the rest of the day and believe me that's saying something. The decor was both elegant and inviting at the same time. It's a very swanky looking place but they didn't look sideways at me for walking in wearing shorts, a pair of well worn hightops and a Motorhead T shirt (in my defense: it was hot that day, I had no idea where I was going as it was my first visit and that band is awesome) Oh and speaking of music: they play some real classy tunes here. In the 45 minutes or so I spent dining and relaxing inside, I swear I heard some Dean Martin in there along with a bunch of other guys I don't know but definitely need to discover. The music, in my opinion, really helped to enhance the overall atmosphere. All in all, I think I found a new favorite Italian spot and I will definitely be stopping in whenever I'm in the area. Oh and don't worry about the Rams field or whatever's going on around the place, they are indeed open for business. The exterior of the surrounding (former) business locations and the lot may lead you to think the whole place is abandoned but at least finding parking is definitely NOT going to be an issue. I personally call that a plus."
