"Probably the best fish chips I’ve had. The fish was one large filet fried in a nice crispy batter served hot with fries and coleslaw and really good tartar sauce. The service was excellent. Ok, the bad. I think we we’re way over charged. The dinner was $15. The bill that came to us was $45. Two $15 dinners and one iced tea and a club soda with lime, $45? What’s wrong here? I brought it to the attention the wait staff and they told me they automatically add 18% gratuity. I have no problem with that because I tip 20%. 18% is $5.76. That leaves us with a grand total of $35.76. Where did the extra $10 come from? $10 for an iced tea and a club soda with lime? The bartender shrugged his shoulders and said this happens a lot and apologized but left the bill at $45. I felt sorry for the waitress so I added $5 for her and walked out spending $50. Sooooo we won’t be back even though it’s probably the best fish chips I’ve had."

The views are amazing. I didn't have to be a member here to enjoy what they have to offer. Didn't realize they were open to the public. We had a wonderful lunch and the people there were extremely friendly.

The website says that the restaurant is open, but we have visited several times and despite the website indicating that it is open, there are no lights on, no bartender, no kitchen staff, or any other employees present. If they are closed for the season, they should update their online hours to avoid misleading customers.

First time to golf and dine at Somersett. The course is beautiful with a slope rating of 138. With cart path only today it made the first round of the year very challenging. Greens were very fast. After our round we dined at the club. I had the fig, goat cheese lamb burger with a side Cesar salad. It was a very good meal. Also a delicious dark brown ale to go with my meal and the absolutely beautiful day. Service was excellent! I'll be back!! View menu

The Grille has really stepped up their game! Their new menu is wonderful including a Certified Angus Beef (CAB) filet, Chilean Sea Bass, Lasagne and several other delicious entrees. I ordered the Sea Bass and have to say it is the BEST I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection with a slight carmelization on the edges and the ponzu glaze was delicious. My friends ordered the linguine and clams, the spaghetti meatballs, new CAB filet and chicken. Everyone was super happy with their meals.

My husband and I recently tried the new breakfast menu at Somersett Grille and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns, while I opted for the eggs benedict with home fries. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. The only suggestion I have is that the home fries could use a bit more flavor, either through seasoning or a dipping sauce. Despite that, we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the delicious food.

We thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips at this restaurant and had ordered it multiple times before. However, our experience last Friday was disappointing. We ordered 4 dinners to take to my parents who live nearby in Somersett, only to find that each dinner had a very small portion of fish, undercooked fries, and a half container of coleslaw. The quality was far below what we had come to expect and the portion size was more like a kids meal. We paid $75.76 for this disappointing meal. I reached out to the manager, Jonathan, about the issue and he promised to investigate but never got back to me. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. View menu

We loved the fish and chips here, and had previously purchased it several times. Last Friday we ordered 4 dinners to take to my parents who live right around the corner in Somersett. What a joke! Each dinner had literally a half a piece of fish! a small amount of under cooked fries and half a container of cole slaw. It was far from the usual quality, and the size of a kids meal. We paid 75.76 for this horrible surprise. I contacted the manager about this and he promised to get back to me once he investigated I even asked him if they were cutting portions to save money..which was kind of me, as I was avoiding blasting him over these meals. His name is Jonathan. He never got back to me. I will...

Tim Smith, the G.M., doesn't particularly care about the F&B employees. That is not where Somersett makes its money. You will likely get a different server/bartender every time you come here (which wont be often due to poor customer service). The auto gratuity on literally everything that is sold does NOT go to the employee actually handling the transaction. It goes to a 2-week long tip pool, and is distributed amongst many, many different positions including dishwashers, management, etc. This means that employees aren't really incentivized to work a rush, or work that hard at all. What matters is clocking in early and clocking out late, that's how you make the most tips. The members who pay...

"Last night I experienced the most unscrupulous experience I have ever had with a restaurant with the service at the Wok. I am so offended by their actions; I can say we are honestly done with visiting the restaurant in the future. I’ll start with we have been getting dinner on our way out of town every month or so from the Wok for years. Their food is generally very good, but we have had a few times where the food missed the mark. Everyone has an off day so we keep going back, until last night. Their online ordering did not work, so my wife called in an order while I was driving through Reno and I stopped by to pick it up. There was a little confusion when I arrived as they ahad three to go orders on the counter. It seemed they worked everything out and I paid for the order and left to head home. Twelve minutes later I get a call. It’s the Wok and they tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked if I could return. The employee apologized profusely and since we wanted what we ordered, I went back. I arrived at the restaurant and took the order they had provided back in and they checked the bags. The cashier told me she charged me the wrong amount as she had rung up the wrong order. I asked what the difference was (first bill was $63.00 for four entrees and some potstickers) and was told the new total was $94.00. The last order we had was for the same items and was just under $70, so $94 was a shock. The cashier told me she had told my wife the wrong amount and apologized. She also offered a $10 discount. I paid the bill and said I would wait for our food. Much to my shock, I watched them empty the items they had given me, place it on the counter and everything was what we ordered. One entrée had spilled when they took it out and they quickly put it in another bag and then with a big smile handed me the items I already had. I said, “so my order was correct but the amount you charged was wrong?” I asked why did you lied to me to get me to come back. I was told that I would not have paid if they did not lie about why I needed to come back. I was incredulous and decided the best thing to do was to just leave. So, 35 minutes after I left the first time, I was on my way again. Once I got home, II asked my wife what the total was that they provided when she called in the order. She said they specifically told her they did not have a total and I would provide that to me when I picked up the food. Yet another lie. I tallied up my items and came up with a total of $68.75, certainly less than what I originally paid, but clearly not the $94.00 they tried to charge. So tonight, I called and ordered the same items and was told the order would be $76.57, yet a different amount. I promptly told them no thank you. Most restaurants would honor their mistake. With that said, if they called and told me I paid the wrong amount, I would have made it right. But instead, they lied to me, clearly tried to overcharge me and then gave me a discount that was still more than the price for the same food 24 hours later. Their actions were inappropriate, uncalled for and unscrupulous. Over the last year, we visited this restaurant 10 times, but last night was the last time they get any business from us."
