"My two bridesmaids took me here last night during my bachelorette weekend. We had 5:15 reservations as we had an appointment at 6:45 elsewhere. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees all together, right off the bat. It took over an hour for our food to come out, meanwhile 2 separate groups of 4 that were seated well after us, received their food. Our waitress said it would be 5 more minutes, then she apologized to us because they only had one chef, then she told us to save room for desert because it would be on the house for having to wait. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for desert. We didn’t even have time to eat any of our entrees. We immediately had them boxed up to eat later in the evening after our appointment. Our waitress merely took off the appetizer as a courtesy. Just didn’t feel like enough. On a separate note, the older waitress that was working the tables around us was not very pleasant, as she did not exchange courtesies when one of my girls apologized for being in her way, and when we thanked her for dropping off appetizer plates to our table.Really disappointed in how my first experience was here, especially for such a big occasion."

The food and espresso martinis were amazing. Our server, Doug, was wonderful and gave us great recommendations for the rest of the weekend.

Very good. We had salads, several pasta dishes, and pizza. All were great. The summer sangria was really nice as well. Our second room restaurant. Long time fan of the Front Room.

The food is very good, the service is great, everyone is welcoming and friendly. But, the air conditioning doesn’t work very well maybe due to the open kitchen. I will return when the weather is cooler for sure. It was so hot inside we had to take our dinner and finish it at home. View menu

Worst dinner experience of my life.Made a reservation 3 weeks in advanced to make sure we had a dinner spot for my best friends bachelorette weekend. We got there (while the restaurant wasn’t busy) ordered our drinks /apps/entrees all at once to make for a quick dinner. We waited over an HOUR for our meals. While all the tables around us (whom came in after us) got their food. At first, we were understanding but it got to a point where it was ridiculous. We asked for boxes before our food even came out because we were already late for our next venture.Used to love this place but so so dissatisfied and will never be back.

Originally, I had made a reservation for two weeks ago and the restaurant cancelled last minute, citing that open table had made a booking error. I decided to try again at my next availability. The bruschetta and mixed drinks were excellent. I highly recommend trying the lemon drop. Great service! Our server was very attentive and made fantastic wine recommendations. I was super disappointed to learn that steak wasn’t on the menu; even though I had scoped out the menu prior to making a reservation. The pork was mediocre at best. Zero ambience. Nobody wants to sit smack dab in the middle of a loud restaurant on their anniversary. Overall, this dining experience missed the mark.

"A Portland Classic! Bruno's has been a staple for Italian Food! Hadn't been in years, so it seemed to be a perfect choice after a Bob Marley show. 9pm on a Wednesday night and the owners were on site as always. We were seated immediately and our server was right there. We ordered drinks and some Fried Calamari and Mozzarella Pomodoro for appetizers to share. The apps came out very quickly but our server was wanting us to order our entrees immediately. We accommodated and ordered dinner, but asked him not to fire them too quickly . Our salads were out in minutes, I asked him again to slow it down. The homemade dressings we chose (Blue Cheese and Poppy Seed) were wonderful. Unfortunately we only had 2 bites before our dinner was at the table. So we skipped eating our apps. We had a few bites of salad and then jumped into our dinners: Ravioli Verde and Chicken Marsala. The in-house made ravioli with a super silky ricotta filling and perfect sage butter was amazing. I wanted to hold each piece on my tongue just to celebrate the flavor. The Chicken Marasala was so tender and piled high with mushrooms and just the right amount of sauce. But just as we started enjoying our meals, we already had take out boxes on the table. Our server was definitely in a hurry .... we finished our entrees, boxed up our apps and I quickly asked for 2 cannolis to go. The check was on the table so fast that we were uncomfortable, so we took our boxes and left. THAT IS WHEN THE LIGHTBULB WENT OFF..... our server should have told us that the kitchen closes at 9:30 Had we known, we would have just had a drink and an app. The food is AMAZING but I dislike being hurried."
