"My husband and I had visited Maine during the off-season twice before, but had never tried lobster. We decided that on this, our third visit, we would finally indulge in some "lobstah"! After doing some research online, we came across the Causeway Restaurant. After reading the reviews, we realized it was not far from our rental cottage so we decided to give it a try. We were warmly welcomed by every staff member we encountered and requested to be seated on the heated porch with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, I did not get our server's name, but she was fantastic and really enhanced our dining experience. I will post her photo instead of her name. I enjoyed my gin and cucumber cocktail so much that I ended up ordering a second one, despite the cost. The lobster lived up to our expectations, and while my husband opted for a whole lobster, I savored the generous portions of lobster in my delicious salad which also included greens, quinoa, walnuts, blueberries, strawberries, and blue cheese. We were too full for dessert, but the dessert menu sounded amazing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the view, and the service at Causeway Restaurant."

I have visited this restaurant multiple times. The service is consistently excellent and the food is exceptional. They also offer a variety of delicious vegan options. The atmosphere is wonderful, as you can choose to dine with a stunning view of the coast or in a beautifully decorated art gallery. You can't go wrong with this place!

Quickly Deteriorating: A year ago (in 2022), this place was the best-kept secret. The menu was well-balanced, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The quality of ingredients and the preparation of dishes were perfect. Now, it 's overpriced, uncomfortable, and provides a basic experience. The dish preparations are more reminiscent of a pub or a dive bar, and the atmosphere is loud and unwelcoming. This place has the best view and location, with so much potential to excel. I 'm glad to have experienced what it used to be, but I 'm okay with not going back to what it is now.
