"As a picky eater, I've eaten a lot of chicken tenders in my life a LOT and I can confidently say that these are the best I've ever had. I've been here five or six times now, and every time they've been so excellent that I have yet to try anything else on the dinner menu, though I really should (I hear great things about that incredible looking pork tenderloin that a companion got . The breading is crispy perfection, the chicken is juicy and delicious; I realize I'm sounding like a commercial, but I honestly can't imagine fried chicken getting any better than this. The sides I've tried are great too the crinkle cut fries maybe don't fare quite as well in a take out drive on the way home due to unavoidable moisture build up in the package (but still are solid , but the homemade chips and waffle fries have been excellent every time, both dining in and at home. When dining in (or when picking up food, for that matter , the service has also always been really nice and relaxed from people who like their jobs and make you feel at home. I'm very happy to have such a great place with great people in my town, and it's become my first choice to introduce to my visiting friends.(By the way, deep fried Oreos for dessert may look like indulgent, embarrassingly American midwestern carnie food, but you want them. Trust me."

This restaurant has the ABSOLUTE best chicken tenders! Their sauce, which is similar to honey mustard, is amazing—I'd almost drink it on its own! The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is inviting.

This is a nostalgically decorated restaurant with excellent food and service. The portions and chicken were very large. The sides appear to be hand made. The desserts were great too! First time to The Dirty Bird. We’ve heard good things but being on the south side of DeKalb, we’ve just never made it over there. Today we did. There is a lot more than chicken on the menu. We tried a few different things. It was all very good. The place was pretty busy and the service was top notch. Clearly they have good systems. Our server, I think her name was Anya, was really hustling around. She was friendly and efficient. I really respect seeing young people with such good work ethic. We will make it a point to go back.

We ordered takeout and found the food to be just okay—rather basic, actually. For the price, my partner mentioned that he could have chosen a different place and ended up with a meal he would have enjoyed more. The food was greasy, which we expected since everything is fried at the restaurant and then sits in the box until we got home. We're not sure if it was just our experience or a bad batch, but everything seemed a bit over-salted for our taste. While I'm glad we gave it a try, and since it was our first visit, we might consider trying it again in the future.
