"This is our 2nd stay. Our first stay was right after the lodge opened up and our experience was great. Pricing was reasonable and our room had a pretty park view. No issues whatsoever and I even recommended The Lodge to several friends. Now onto our second stay: Keep in mind the website states all rooms have a excellent view of either the park or the ocean. This stay our view was construction. We kept our curtains closed the entire time. To be fair and not be entirely negative, the beds are comfortable and the beach area is very nice and you can get off to yourself, however the hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. It is just that, a hotel. In addition to the over $2, 000 we paid we also had to pay for daily parking, not even one space per room is allowed without paying more money. The night we got there it was late and we were able to get a luggage cart without any problems. Upon checkout we were not allowed to get a cart and was told that their employees had to transfer the luggage with the carts. Not everyone wants someone else handling their things. There were a few other things that we were not happy about but not worth mentioning. There was a card left in our room telling if you were not happy with stay to leave a comment and they would “make it right”. I left a comment and ask to be contacted and no one responded. I called and was told that was not the way to handle your issues, that most of their cleaning ladies don’t speak English. I ask them why leave a card for us to handle our issues?? I was told sorry. I was told that we should come at another time when they weren’t so busy. Excuse me, my vacation shouldn’t have to be planned around their convenience! I was told that the luggage cart is a policy that they carry your luggage in and out. I said then why were we allowed to carry our luggage on a cart the night we got here? I was told it must have been late and no one was available to carry it. No if that’s your policy it should be for all times not just at their convenience. We ask for a one hour delay in checkout and was told they could for $50. When I expressed my disappointment in that, I was told that they were so busy and couldn’t accommodate any later checkouts. I ask then why were they willing to do it for $50 more dollars? No explanation was given for that…. The employee who I spoke with, I have her name but will not blast it, was uncaring to our issues and mainly said what we should have done. Don’t play the blame game with your customers, you make it right just as your card stated. And for that reason this will be our last stay at The Lodge."

Balcony door knob and lock did not work there was a locking latch. I asked for extra towels when I checked in and did not get them. I had to get them from the cleaning ladies who were really nice. There was not a true privacy on the balcony just a sheet up. No microwave in the building is what I was told which is hard when you have small kids.

Just left after 3 nights and 4 days of stay. Absolutely did not want to leave. From the staff, the accommodation to the friendly environment was AMAZING. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The beach was stunning and the pool was a great place to relax, network and enjoy family time all together. Definitely my first choice. Will be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

This hotel was an unexpected gem! Lots of amenities from the poolside bar to the multiple on-site restaurants to the boardwalks to the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The front desk was friendly and professional. Hilton did a fantastic job with this facility. There are conference rooms. There is a shuttle that can take you anywhere in the park. There is also a walkway OVER the road to the park.

Best hotel experience I’ve had in a while. Location was AMAZING for those with little ones or those looking for a “private” entrance to the beach. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Food was pretty reasonable for a hotel better than expected. Proximity to other restaurants and activities was great. Will definitely be booking this location for future trips.Rooms: Rooms were clean but the mattress and pillows weren’t as plush as hotels beds typically advertise but doable.Food drinks: Food selections were good, the day I stayed in and ordered room service no complaints were had! Just left after a 3 Night Stay for the 4th Of July Holiday with the family. Only thing this place really has going for it is it’s location and the private beach. I’ve stayed at a lot nicer hotels with better amenities included for a quarter of the price. Nearly $500 a night and no complimentary breakfast included is a major insult when even a $75 a night Holiday Inn will give you a hot breakfast included in your stay. Do better Hilton!Rooms: Rooms weren’t anything fancy or special, especially for the pricing.Food drinks: Food was overpriced and so were the drinks. You would think at over $400 a night they’d give you complimentary breakfast but no nothing, not even a cup of coffee.

The room did not match the images shown online at all. The staff was generally rude, both over the phone and in person, though one gentleman named Jake was an exception and provided helpful service. The value for the price was significantly lacking; this place is definitely overrated. We were informed that the restaurant closed at 7 PM, so we sought out other food options, only to later discover it was open until 9 PM. The food quality was below expectations considering the prices. The view from our room was not what we had originally booked. They offered to move us to an ADA-compliant room or one with bunk beds, but that wasn’t what we wanted. Additionally, the constant noise from children...

On the downside, parking is quite a distance from the hotel entrance, which meant we had to rely on valet parking that costs $22 per night. If you can manage your luggage, you might consider the long walk to the parking lot, but we had a lot of extra items for the beach. Additionally, it's important to note that guests are not allowed to use the luggage carts without valet assistance. As I mentioned in a previous review, we were disappointed with Hilton's recent changes to the breakfast policy for Gold and Diamond Honors members. Now, we only receive a $30 food and beverage credit for the room, which is not enough to cover two breakfasts. Furthermore, additional rooms booked by the Honors m... View menu

Speaking of dining, all the on-site restaurants were wonderful and beautifully designed, including the Woodside Grill. Having them right on the property is so convenient, and the quality of the food surpasses any beach restaurant I've ever experienced. I have a feeling the locals come here just for the amazing food! The staff greeted us with smiles at every opportunity. Like most Hilton properties, the beds were comfortable, and the food was fresh and beautifully presented. Yet, the natural beauty here is simply awe-inspiring! The dunes and the path leading to the beach are stunning. One of the highlights was biking across the pedestrian bridge to Gulf State Park’s smooth, wide, paved trai...

For our family of four (2 sons, 11 and 13) this place was a dream! When we first arrived in Gulf Shores we ate lunch in town and then visited the main public beach. It was crowded body to body with umbrellas 5 deep from the ocean. Total chaos. Then we arrived at The Lodge and felt like we had arrived at an oasis. From the moment you walk in, it smelled good and the decor fits the environment perfectly. While we waited for our room to be ready, we grabbed some mocktails from the pool bar and enjoyed them in the rockers looking out onto the beach. All the stress we felt at the main beach washed away. Every service person we encountered from start to finish was absolutely lovely. We had the gul...
