"I had high hopes for my experience at this restaurant. The cozy cottage aesthetic reminded me of something out of the Cotswolds, and I was expecting a peaceful and intimate atmosphere, akin to being in an English garden. However, upon arrival, our reservation was overlooked and we felt unwelcome and ignored. The host seemed disorganized and understaffed, rushing us to a less desirable table. Our West Coast High Tea was underwhelming, with some dishes lacking seasoning. The server was pleasant, but the overall experience was disappointing. I would recommend opting for the pricier High Tea at The Fairmont for a more enjoyable and worthwhile experience."

Went with my daughter for my birthday and was surprised with a piece of chocolate cake with a candle….it was a wonderful surprise! The atmosphere was beautiful and the professional and polite mannered staff were pleasant.

It is such a cute place! It’s like stepping back in time which I love! All the beautiful details are wonderful and the staff are friendly. The only thing I would say, is that it would be nice to have an additional non-fish option of the afternoon tea? The food is really good, but it would just be nice to have that option. But if you’re looking to have an afternoon tea in a lovely place, I would definitely recommend the Pendray Inn and Tea House : .

My mom and I have gone to high tea at other establishments in our travels. We both loved the Pendray High Tea. She ordered the West Coast (more seafood based) and I ordered the Traditional. Both teas were delicious, the options for alcoholic beverages were plentiful. The staff was attentive but not pushy. The ambiance was amazing! I’m so glad they’ve kept the original architecture of the house. There was more than enough food, we each took a couple desserts home since we were stuffed!
