"The food was delightful, with a wide array of options to satisfy any appetite. I ordered a combo—two eggs, two sausages, three pancakes, and a potato scramble. Although I can’t recall the specific name of the combo, I can say it was delicious. Everything was perfect, from the fluffy pancakes to the tasty potato scramble. The service was exceptional as well. All the staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. At one point, a gentleman thanked us for choosing to eat there while refilling my coffee, which I found to be a warm and uncommon gesture in many restaurants. I truly appreciated that. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this diner. I loved it and will definitely return the next time I’m in Southern California."

I had a wonderful experience dining at the Potholder. The food is delicious and generously portioned. Although they are short-staffed, the team does an excellent job serving everyone. Just be patient!

: wanted to like it but it wasn't great . Menu was deceiving the bill was too high for the service and quality of the food. Kids items were not cute or good my daughters French toast was raw in the middle.

This place has a huge fly problem indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious and service was great but I'd like to enjoy my food without me having to swat my arms around for the flies not to land on my food.

Food was amazing the pancakes were fluffy and the right amount of sweet with syrup. Eggs whites an bacon also cooked perfectly. Staff is very friendly and service was beyond great! I will definitely be making more visits here. View menu

Spoke with them about their gluten free options as I have celiac and they said they clean the surfaces. Not sure if I'm going to get sick or not yet but the gluten free pancakes were very good and they seemed to take great care.Dietary restrictions: A few gluten free and vegetarian and vegan options.

The only downside was the parking situation, which proved to be a bit challenging since the highway didn't stretch all the way. If the parking lot was full, we had to turn around and look for nearby parking. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning! This has become our go-to for breakfast. Awesome breakfast burrito for him and AJ's Healthnut (egg white scrambled with spinach cranberries walnuts tomatoes) for me but I had to upgrade with a waffle! Comes with potatoes yum! Everything hit the spot. Service is good, especially when it's not super crowded. There is outdoor seating so we feel pretty safe.

Food was pretty good. We ate inside instead of outside. There was so many flies I had to keep swatting away. I even asked our waitress if they had a fly swatter, unfortunately they didn't. So we changed tables closer to the front door. When our food came out a handful of flies found us. Food was good but they really need to get cleaner. I don't see us returning. ?

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
