"My friend was in town, so we decided to get ice cream here as it was so highly rated, we decided to head over after dinner. We ordered a small bowl and a small homemade waffle cone. What we got was ginormous desserts! So many amazing flavors to choose from. I tried a scoop of the Avalanche Mint with white chocolate chips, brownie bites, and dark chocolate mint truffles with a scoop of Blueberrry Cheesecake Blueberry ice cream with graham cracker and creamy cheesecake swirls. Both were luscious and decadent. My friend got the Cherry Chocolate Chunk Vanilla with sweet dark cherries and chocolate chips and Kahlua Fudge Brownie Kahlua mocha ice cream with brownie bits and fudge swirl. They were equally tasty. We didn't want to waste any, so we stuffed ourselves. Had I not been 30 min from home, I'd have refrozen half for breakfast! These ice creams are rich and creamy. It's clear they're homemade and ridiculously affordable. I'll definitely be back to try them all."

We loved your ice cream. There's never line when we go. Your place isn't even that hidden. Plenty of parking too!

Best hand-dipped ice cream, nice place to sit indoor or outdoor and enjoy. Lots of flavors, see photos for flavors

Decent ice cream but waffle cone was mushy and they didn't offer to do anything about it. Servers could be more personable. View menu

Good maple creemee, with subtle flavor; gluten-free cones available. Helpful staff at the Archie’s Grill right next door (who answers the phone)

Very small and pleasant. Absolutely what you would want from a small town scoop shop! It was our first time in, but it wont be our last. Burlington Bay doesnt have anything on this little EXCELLENT scoop shop!!

Came here for creemees and ice cream. The maple had no flavor. The regular ice cream was ok. They have some non dairy options which were fine. The black raspberry creemee had the best flavor. Located in Shelburne Commons. View menu

Delicious home made ice cream! I’m not a fan of Ben Jerry’s which few who visit Vermont would probably understand…so I googled “ best ice cream “ and this came up again and again. Delicious Peppermint,my favorite, which is usually hard to find in other locations until the holiday season. The woman in front of me said the very same thing! Enjoy it. Fresh and small scale is BEST!

Ice cream is okay not extraordinary, but enjoyable. The staff don’t seem to be very happy though they were not friendly and were rushing us and the couple in front of us through as though it was closing, but it was only 7pm and they close at 8:30. They also didn’t give us a full 2nd scoop when we ordered 2 scoops(as seen in the photo) but charged us for it. Not an ideal experience but ice cream was mediocre.

"However, I would rate it more like three stars at most for a few reasons: this is not really a hotel, so don’t expect the same value you would find at a typical hotel. The staff is friendly, but they lack professionalism. You will definitely pay a premium here. If you're mainly drawn by the views and the environment, then this is perfect for you. The rooms maintain much of their original decor, and they serve tea every afternoon, though it lacks the traditional tea sandwiches. Remember, this is not Windsor Castle—it's an old mansion in the USA. While sharing bathrooms at $400 a night can be acceptable, not having your room cleaned, dealing with unkempt shared bathrooms, and experiencing outdated plumbing is not. It's evident that the money is being funneled into maintaining the farm and the potentially expensive upkeep of the mansion. They do provide some local cheese as a welcome gift, along with a poem and candy for the night, which is a nice touch but does not make up for the other issues. That said, the beauty of the place makes it worth staying for a night or two if you're willing to compromise and know what to expect. If your budget allows, I recommend splurging for a room with an en-suite bathroom, even if it costs $600 a night—treat yourself to a weekend in this amazing location, but don’t expect hotel-like amenities for that price. And by the way, bring your own drinks because the bar closes at 9 PM! Mostly an older crowd here, so don’t come expecting nightlife."
