"Great food on New Year’s Eve! We had the calamari and it was perfectly prepared. We also had the pappardeli with sausage (our long time favorite), lemon chicken and a steak. All very nice. Personally preferred the steak better over the chicken, but both were great. That said, the potato purée with spinach that accompanied the chicken was also very tasty. The thinly sliced steak was very light and fresh with arugula providing some refreshing contrast from the beef. We ordered the steak medium but ended up wishing we’d gone medium rare instead. Great dinner."

Went to Tocoo with my friends on the recommendation of another friend. I thought the food was great, the service was excellent and the owner/employees were very friendly and helpful. View menu

that was great. bruno is always a tasty bite. it would have been nice if our server knew what gluten-free and vegan meant (and that they were different) to the luck the chef did that!

was some delay in checking with the host, although restaurant half full on a Saturday night ( allowed snow covered.) was said that the restaurant is closed in 2 weeks and eveyone is set off. was this told by two different employees (one was perhaps the owner?

This restaurant is fantastic. My three guests and I tried a pizza and three different entrees, all of which were excellent in terms of quality and flavor. The pizza was incredible, one of the most flavorful pizzas I have ever had in Chicago. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. View menu

This place is awesome. There are so many varieties of pizza and other Italian dishes and the wine is magical. They also have some interesting creations with their antipasto. Bruno is pretty cool too. If you ever stop in, look for the tall Italian guy and say hi, you can tell he loves to keep his diners and staff happy!

I visited this restaurant during a wine tour and was impressed by their selection of great wines and appetizers. The rice balls were delicious, and the mozzarella and tomato dish was creamy and flavorful. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant has a nice, simple decor that added to the overall pleasant experience.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
