"A place makes my top 10 when it has consistent performance over 3-4 visits, I crave it if I haven't had it in a while, and the portions make sense for the price. Tofu Plus easily surpasses these standards and lands itself squarely in the top (coming from a Bay Area native that's been abroad! It might be a bit pricey than some of the other tofu soup places around, but the taste texture of the soup is always flavorful and not watery or too thick: a perfect pairing with rice! If you're not a huge spice person like me (if I eat a lot of hot Cheetos I gotta go for some water get the mild, it adds flavor and is completely manageable. Their side dishes are generous and all individually delicious. I alternate between getting either the tofu soup galbi if I'm feeling meat, or tofu soup seafood pancake if not. The seafood pancake packs a great amount of squid and shrimp and is perfectly crispy fluffy! If I came with a larger group I'd totally get all three of my faves. The ambience is also great: bustling with regulars, clean and comfortable, and really nice servers seaters."

I?ve been here numerous time during last 4 years (over 10 times I guess . Really love tofu soup, beef, and small dishes (seaweed, kimchi, etc. here! Those are good to accompany with rice.

The Korean food here is fantastic! Their specialty dish is the tofu soup bowls, which are definitely worth trying. The side dishes come in small plates and are refillable, so feel free to ask for more! The service is excellent, and the portions are非常 generous. Highly recommend!

I visited this restaurant in 2017, before the pandemic, and it has never disappointed us. We always make sure to arrive before 5:30 PM to avoid the long wait. We enjoyed the spicy tofu and Korean short ribs, both of which were fantastic. We also loved all of the condiments they offer. I highly recommend this place!

The food was mediocre and overpriced. It was difficult to find our server for beverage refills, and we received the check before we had finished our meal. Overall, I would say the food is not worth the price and the service was disappointing. I recommend saving your money and heading to Gen BBQ instead; they provide much better service. View menu

On the bright side, this restaurant offers quality yet affordable Korean cuisine within an Asian shopping mall. The seating is spacious, the service was decent, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, there’s plenty of parking available in front of 99 Ranch Market, so that's a plus. I would still recommend it, but I did find it odd that they kept reusing the thin, single-use menus; the ones I received were wrinkled and had water stains.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on Sunday before 11:30 AM and didn’t have to wait. However, it filled up quickly within half an hour. The food quality is exceptional, and the service is efficient. I really enjoyed all the small dishes. My only note is that the pork belly could be cooked a bit longer for better tenderness. The fish was delicious, but it does contain quite a few small bones, so be cautious when eating it. I will definitely return!

Today, the service was not as pleasant as I'd hoped, possibly due to a staff shortage. It wasn't the best experience overall. I would have preferred Kong Tofu, a quality and affordable Korean restaurant located in an Asian shopping center. The tables there are cozy, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, there's ample parking in front of 99 Ranch Market, which is a definite plus. I recommend it. One thing that struck me as odd was the practice of reusing a single thin menu sheet. The menus I received were often stained with water marks. View menu

Tofu Plus is a great place to go for delicious Korean food in the Bay Area. It?s one of few places that offers a broader array of delicious banchan that is rarely served anywhere else. One of my favorites is the chayote banchan. The kkakdugi (radishkimchi) and traditional cabbage kimchi are always crunchy and perfectly seasoned! On this visit we ordered Galbi jjim, mackerel, seafood pajeon and mul naengmyun (cold noodles). We were so distracted by the delicious banchan that when the rest ofthe food arrived, we just kept eating and forgot to take pictures! Can?t wait to visit again soon.

"Dear Gyu-kaku, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to Gyu-kaku on October 7 at 8:00pm. While I have had positive experiences at your restaurant in the past, this particular visit left me extremely dissatisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table that was clearly inadequate for my party's needs. We had made a reservation for 10 people, but the table provided could only accommodate 8. This immediately set the tone for our experience. To make matters worse, a waitress (not my main waitress) rushed us through the meal. She told us to put food to our places so she can have spaces to put more trays of meat. However, this is BBQ and the food just arrived within 5 mins. The meat hasn't even done yet to be edible. I asked her to set the trays at another table and we can grab them when we're done with our current plates. She said she couldn't do that and we must divide the food now so she could have spaces to set more trays. It was very reasonable to rush your customers through the meal. We're paying for our dinings. Gyu-kaku is a place to enjoy high quality Japenese food, and the service should uphold the standards of its high quality, not this rude and unprofessionalism. I value the dining experiences I have had at Gyu-kaku in the past, which is why I am particularly disappointed by this recent visit. I believe that the issues I have outlined above do not align with the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment."

"I was craving Persian food badly specifically wanting a beef kabab kobideh rice plate. I googled restaurants nearby that I could stop by for dinner. I saw Stone Stew Grill and Bar among the list of restaurants in the area. I 've heard of the place before, and I remember it being recommended by one of my close Persian friends. My fiancé and I arrived at Stone Stew around 8pm on a Saturday night. We were dressed for a casual sitdown, but when we peaked through the window we saw that everyone was dressed to the nines. We reluctantly walked in, but we were warmly welcomed and led to an upstairs dining area. We realized that the bottom floor was reserved for a surprise party, which was wild by the way! We sat back, enjoyed the music (DJ was spinning traditional Persian party music), and watched the bottom floor get lit. Overall customer service was great. The food came out quickly, and our server was great. He was so nice, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a couple of entrees to share. Obviously the beef kabab kobideh with rice was a must. Since we were at Stone Stew, I figured we might as well try the Vakil Abad Mashhad Stone Stew. I heard it also being referred to as Dizi. If you ask me, nothing beats home cooked Persian food, but Stone Stew hit the spot! Everything tasted flavorful and amazing. The kobideh was exactly how I expected it to be, so I was highly satisfied. The Dizi was completely new to me, and we both were pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. We mashed the garbanzo beans, potatoes, and stewed meat, which made for a comforting, rich soup."
