"They used to make an effort to fulfill your donut requests, but this time was a letdown. I listed about four or five types of donuts I wanted, specifically jelly-filled, plain glazed, or plain old-fashioned, but instead, I received flavors I didn’t ask for: coconut, chocolate, chocolate chips, and a chocolate bar. It felt like I was given all the leftover flavors that nobody really wants because they were quite unusual. Additionally, the iced coffee tasted very watered down. Overall, I was really disappointed."

We fondly remember Winchell’s and wish we could find a donut place that was nearly as good where we live now. The donuts are made by hand and are fresh. You know there is quality when there is a line out the door most weekend mornings. Best donuts in Salinas by far and great value

I really appreciate that they're open 24 hours! It’s convenient to pick up warm donuts, muffins, and bagels on my way to work. They have a good selection and the staff is very friendly. The only drawback is that they don’t offer cream cheese on the side for the bagels; they only spread it on when you place your order.

I used to love this place, but my most recent bagel experience was disappointing. It had a strange, flaky seasoning that resembled dirt or burnt bits all over it. When I tried to scrape that off, I discovered that the cheese in my melt wasn't melted at all; it was just cold shreds sitting on top. I'm not sure what caused this change, but it was quite disappointing.
