"Well, that was great! We were greeted by Alan, the General Manager, who welcomed my boyfriend and I with a warm hospitable smile and light conversation. Our server Daniel ensured speedy and spot on service the entire meal. Alan checked on us again and introduced us to Ashley who was assisting Daniel. She educated us on the desserts and got us all set up with an appetizer to go (because we were stuffed, but wanted more for a late night snack). Very pleased with the upscale fine dining experience in the quaint town of Sumter. We look forward to returning for one of Chef Dall’Erta dinner services very soon. Also, very intrigued about the establishments signature sister restaurant and multiple event venues!"

"I go to Baker's Sweets a lot.But today's experience was awful. July 5th 2024, lunch. Never ever have I been so disappointed with how our party of seven were served Where the food came out horrible. My grandchildren 3yrs and 5 yrs were served spicey fries. My fried green tomato BLT had 3 nice size green tomatoes but 1 piece of bacon and 1/2 slice of lettuce. My son was served cold hard shrimp and grits plate that he had to cutt with a knife to eat the grits.My daughter in law was waiting for her fried chicken salad plate and didn't get it until the waitress came with check and realized she forgot it then came back and said they didn't even drop the chicken in yet. My daughter got a chicken sandwich with lettuce tomato and Swiss. It came out plain. My son inlaw ordered his burger/patty melt med rare it came out Xtra well. Among other things. I stood at the front counter ordered my coffee as I arrived, waited as she made it and placed it on the back counter where it sat for 5 min. I had to tell them at the register that it was sitting there. Many other customers were complaining too while we were waiting for our food but I thought nothing of it until I found out when we were served. We should have walked out but no. We got the check after complaining and were only compted the 18 gratuity they charge for larger parties. What# ! Larger party? 5 adults and 2 small kids. Our bills were still full price. Excuse, the normal cooks were off and everyone else partied the night before. Sorry Baker's Sweets. You have lost 7 customers today from us and I'm sure others. If you don't have the proper kitchen staff you should not have been open!"

"The portions are generous, and the dishes are cooked to perfection at a reasonable price. Everything is made fresh upon order, so don't expect quick service like you would at a fast food place. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. However, there were a couple of downsides: the wings came with the drumette removed, and while the fried rice was tasty, it lacked any vegetables. Please note that this restaurant only offers takeout."

"We were in Sumter a week, ate out 4 times and this was the worst place.I understand everyone is understaffed!!The problem is when you have 3 employees standing in the front on their phones not helping anyone one or doing anything.We got seated and no silverware. I realized we didn’t have silverware when our food arrived. I walked up to the front and asked if we could have some silverware . They said is needs to be rolled. I’m like I don’t care if it’s rolled I just want to eat. But nope I didn’t get any… I asked another server got 1 plastic. Server came back then we got 5 more plastic. We were a group of 6.Our server asked to clear our free dinner plates we handed her what was available and she said “I’ll just leave it here”. I did not understand.We waited for a bill or her to come back… no one so we paid at the table and left.Three people still on their phones, no thank you, bye, have a good day nothing.Our food “I assume” was hot when it came out, and everything was correct. Just no support to make the evening go well.A true disappointment ."
