"I have no idea how in the world this place has a 4 plus star review. I have been to Anthony's multiple times and ordered take out multiple times. Each time I am more and more disappointed. Not sure why I keep ordering from here?? The service is absolutely horrible and the food isn't even mediocre. Seems things are not fresh and not much thought goes into the flavor combinations of the dishes. Tonight I ordered take out and got a chicken cutlet sandwich with day old dry chicken cutlet and a buffalo chicken cheesesteak that was absolutely disgusting. We didn't finish our food and ended up in the trash. The only good thing about Anthony's is the space and the cocktails I have been in Downingtown for 6 years now and thinking it's time to just stop hoping it will get better."

Extremely poor which is unlike them--I ordered a White Pie with Ricotta as an extra topping-but they didnt put any cheese on my pie-its baked bread with blotches of ricotta-this is not a white pie

Excellent all around. Food is remarkable. Staff is very personable and attentive. Salmon, pizza, broccoli rabe sandwich, chicken marsala all scream eat me!! Finish off the meal with a nice selection of gelato.

The Buffalo tenders werent that great, too sweet. The ceasar wrap was over powered my soggy lettuce . The marinara sauce was so sweet but the mottzerella sticks were amazing!! The broccoli bites just werent it as well View menu

It does tend to get busy since they're so good and it's a smaller place but that's not really anything that can be held against them, just good to know ahead of time. Even the fettuccine in the kids' meal is homemade. Everything is reasonably priced. Eggplant parmesan sandwich was the best I've ever had and I'm picky. Everything is remarkably fresh and even something as ubiquitous as cheesesteak hoagie has real flavor to it. The Portobello salad with the passion fruit dressing is satisfying and delicious. November 2022 Excellent service, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere. I've been here about a dozen times in the past few years and it's always been good. This visit I tried the barbecue chicken pizza and it was good but not the best barbecue chicken pizza I’ve had. The chicken parm with linguine was very tasty, but the chicken was extremely scant and the pasta was very minimal as well. I’ll call it about 4.5 stars overall for this visit, but it's 5 usually. And I think the regular pizza is much better than the barbecue chicken pizza here.
