"I drive a semi truck so I parked across from backyard Burger on Perkins and walked up to the window and asked the guy if I could place a order he told me NO. I asked why. He then told me with the nastiest attitude that since I don't have a car he can't let me order. I told him sir there's my truck right there. My vehicle wouldn't be able to fit in your drive through he told me no I can't do that. Two older black ladies was nice enough to let me get in their car so that I can get some food. The nerve of people. Everything you have in that store is because of TRUCK DRIVERS."

I got the smoked chicken comb and the fries were crisp and hot, but the chicken tasted pre-boiled and they threw it on the grill with a little smoked spicy. tee was good. View menu

I had a complimentary dessert for my birthday. I chose apple cobbler a la mode. Although my server initially forgot the ice cream, they quickly rectified the mistake. However, the staff seemed a bit inattentive overall.

It's ridiculous when you pay $21 for food that isn't even how you ordered it!!! We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich combo with no MAYO and UNSWEET tea. We get to the window and I ask the girl, you did get no mayo on the sandwich right and she says yes! Well that was a lie! And the tea was not unsweet!!! So we will not be back to this Backyard burger ever!!! We work to hard for our money, we just had to throw it all out, we'll he did eat the fries. They were decent.

"Ate dinner here over the weekend and it was excellent. All the flights of wine and food we got were really good. The Caymus wine flight is a great deal. The seafood flight and dessert flights also awesome. I love the Mac and cheese with the steak and the deserts were bomb! Phenomenal service very impressed. Highly recommend"

"Just to start this out as honestly as i can, we had just gotten out of a 6+ hour long drive so we were hungry and sorta didn't care about what to get just knew we wanted food! With that being said this food was amazing, we both got the Veggie Burrito and a fountain drink. Food didn't take long to get to us, we were seated upstairs, which on its own is a completely different experience that we weren't expecting, you walk into a small entrance where you can see the cooks making the orders and you place your order at the counter, not gonna lie the downstairs isn't much to look at but I do appreciate being able to see the cooks, not for security or anything, just because you don't see that too often. After you make your order you're walked upstairs and seated in this very nice large room with many tables chairs and even a bar! We came towards the middle of the day so we didn't experience any drinks unfortunately. Beautiful space, great design and lots of natural lighting, the atmosphere was very nice and refreshing. The food, now the food was super surprising not to say that we're expecting it to be bad but in my experience anything Veggie or vegetarian usually has a tendency of being a bit bland and or being filled with lettuce where the meat would've been, which is sad because that means many places rely heavily on meat to bring the flavor, but our burritos were so delicious! The burritos had lots of flavor with nothing overpowering anything but instead everything complimenting everything else rather well, they had actually used potatoes in the burritos as the protein replacement and i was very much elated at that, because let's be honest you can do so much with potatoes and they absolutely paired well in the burrito, I personally don't like spicy anything so when I saw jalapeños I was a bit worried, but they're actually pickled jalapeños with other vegetables and they added such a fresh taste and nice bite I was very much pleasantly surprised. The dish was served with beans and rice both of which were also delicious nothing too much to say about them but very good sides. I definitely recommend this place, prices are actually low for food this good! Definitely stop by and try!"

"I had been purchasing these butter cookies from a candy store in Frayser, but I decided to drop in at the original store since I was close. LISTENNNN IT’S A WHOLE VIBE IN THERE! The other customers were smiling and joking with the staff, two older ladies were sitting and enjoying their pastries.. it was very welcoming. When I placed my order I learned the person before me had gotten the last of what I wanted, but they were making more in the back and the owner brought it out personally. It was the service for me! I had banana pudding and it was the perfect consistency., light and creamy , not too sweet with the signature butter cookies on top and a butter cookie crust on the bottom. I also had chicken salad that tasted like somebody was back there chopping up all the veggies by hand and mixing the ingredients with love.. I left having the BUTTERIFFIC day I didn’t know I needed it!"

"First time dining at McEwenâs to celebrate an anniversary. Really enjoyed the setting and decor of the restaurant. There was a huge bar with high top seating and a couple of TVs for a casual environment. Also there were multiple dining rooms for a more formal experience. We started with tomatoes and mozzarella salad, once of several small plate options, that was plenty for the three of us. The dinner menu had a lot of fish, from snapper to catfish, along with several steaks and chicken. Definitely something for everyone. Judging by the empty plates, the food was delicious! The service level was outstanding with just the right amount of check ins during dinner. We wonât wait so long to go back!"

"As, Always! Definitely one of the best places to grab a burger in Memphis, if not the entire U.S.A! I had the Smash burger with fries. Even though I was full, I would've eaten another one of those burgers, if offered, and been happily miserable doing it! Great Job Huey's Midtown!"
