"I have been a loyal customer of Ballydoyles for a long time, but recently, I have not had many positive experiences, primarily due to the slow service. The servers themselves are friendly and professional, but there have been instances where there were only two servers, or even just one, working. Despite this, the management does not seem to limit the number of tables being used. This puts a lot of pressure on the servers, and the kitchen also appears to be understaffed. During my last visit, it took 45 minutes to receive our drinks and meal, which was also incorrect. The servers did their best to keep us updated, but there was little they could do to improve the situation. It was clear that they were overwhelmed. Management should consider regulating the number of tables to ensure a better dining experience for everyone. The only manager we saw seemed to take more smoke breaks than the servers had breaks. I hope that things improve soon, as Ballydoyles has been one of our favorite restaurants in the area."

We visited in June and had a fantastic experience. Our waitress, Lurk W, was excellent, and the manager, Patrick, was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.

The food was good, and the decor definitely captured the theme of an Irish pub. However, the service could have been improved; the servers seemed a bit tired and overwhelmed.

Stay for the music, but enjoy the food as well. A group of us went for a live music event and arrived early to dine. We started with the caprese flatbread appetizer, which was delicious and perfectly sized. View menu

The Bangers and Mash was excellent and served in generous portions. I also tried their amaretto-whiskey cocktail but found it lacking in flavor; it was quite weak and watery. The prices felt a bit steep for an Irish pub, and the service was pretty slow, although I understand they were busy. On the plus side, the live music was a lovely touch.

Oh, the memories! Or perhaps the lack thereof, haha! This is the BEST neighborhood bar, featuring exceptional bartenders and quick waitstaff. Although it has been several years since my last visit, the fact that I still have an old matchbox from there and often reminisce about their live music and the countless great times spent within those walls speaks volumes. I miss you, Ballydoyle!

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a Guinness that was perfectly chilled, but unfortunately, the corned beef in my rye sandwich resembled and tasted like leftovers—just fatty chunks thrown together on toasted bread. The green beans were oversaturated with garlic powder, which was also disappointing. I will certainly be searching for a different place the next time I crave Irish food. View menu

"Made reservations for my husbands 80th Birthday, which we mentions upon making the reservations. We arrived, the hostess said table is ready, stated 80th. birthday, she said someone hit the wrong key 89. The 4 of us were seated, and there was a used wine glass on our table. Ordered 4 cocktails from the bar. Bread brought to the table, I asked once again for the glass to be removed, the man removed it. We ordered appetizers, the 4th person wanted shrimp cocktail, he did not hear her. Our appetizers arrived first, no drinks. We were half was through our appetizers when the drinks arrived. We ordered soup, shrimp lobster bisque, it was okay. We placed orders for the entrees. My husband ordered swordfish, it was dry and the side vegetable was hard not cooked enough. One of our party asked for steaksauce, they did not have that. I had Lambchops, they were good, but the vegetable was hard not cooked enough. My husband had a taste for a Brandy Alexander, no blender. We shared ice cream and brandy on top. Bill was $480.50. No mention of birthday, no special dish! Our waiter, mention that they had 75 people cancel and they were sending staff home early. Also, he mentioned he was a bartender. I mentioned to the hostess what happened about the special occasion, she said oh I can call the manager. I said no because we will not be returning. We live 5 minutes from Indiana, that is quite a distance to travel."

"I had a fantastic meal last weekend at this supper club restaurant that we brought my mom to. It was the first time at Carnivore The Queen. From the outside the restaurant is nothing special as it’s in a small strip mall and there’s not a lot of parking. Don’t let that fool you. Once inside, it’s decorated very nicely with black walls ceilings, beautiful lighting and artwork. There’s a bar in each dining area as well. There’s a small front and side, outdoor patio with umbrella tables, too.Our server was Zane, who was very personable and engaging. He gave us the history of the name of the restaurant, when I inquired and explained the menu. He made the dining experience that much better. My husband and I started out with cocktails. I requested a mezcal paloma and my husband had one of the old fashioneds, the Minocqua which was amazing. Next time I’m getting that cocktail. We started with a relish tray that we shared comprised of beer cheese dip, ham salad, housemade crackers, crudités, olives and cornichons. The relish tray is definitely a throwback to the supper clubs of the past. It’s good for two to share. I I asked for bread, which was served warm with salted butter topped with fried basil and salt. I was surprised there was a charge for the bread. With the high prices at this restaurant, it would be a nice touch for their customers to provide complimentary bread and charge for the second loaf, if requested. My mom and husband had the beef wellington, which was the Saturday night special. It was fantastic. Perfectly flaky crust, and the fillet was cooked as requested, medium rare, I had the seared scallops, which were perfectly grilled and tender and fresh. This restaurant is pricey, but worth it. There is a five-course signature supper for 66, which would include the relish tray, wedge salad. shrimp crab Louie, roasted chicken, and dessert. You can swap out the roasted chicken for another entrée with an upcharge. I think that is the way to go so you can have a little bit of everything from the menu and control the price.I can’t think of one negative about our dining experience except the charge for bread. I’d like to come back for a burger and cocktails at the bar Their way burgers look fabulous! I definitely recommend this restaurant, but be prepared for sticker shock. We don’t mind paying for great service and food, but others may not. FYI"
