Hard to give a diner 5 stars, but maybe I should. 5 of us ate there last Saturday, about 1:00 pm. Good service, friendly people,big menu, big portions and corn bread muffins. Everyone had to taste the muffin, who know corn bread could be sooooo good. We will be back.

This place is definitely overrated. We waited nearly an hour before being seated for breakfast, and during our meal, they asked me about coffee refills a staggering fifteen times! It was quite amusing, though. I'll have to try their lunch before making any final judgments. View menu

I visited this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner while in the midst of packing up my home, and it was a fantastic choice! The variety of options and the portion sizes were impressive. I ordered the turkey platter, and my girlfriend opted for the prime rib. We might just make this our Thanksgiving tradition from now on!

The food is alright but my husband asked the greeter what the special was and she said “how am I suppose to know. Im not your waiter” then had a smart a laugh and walked away. This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I was truly impressed by both the beautiful food and the lovely ambiance! I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries, while my partner had the Western BBQ Burger with fries. The food was excellent, and our waitress was incredibly friendly! One unique feature of this restaurant was the menus; they were printed on newspaper, and I absolutely loved that idea! If only they had a crossword puzzle to complete, it would have been perfect! There were plenty of parking spaces available, and the interior decor was phenomenal. Overall, I highly recommend the Black Bear Diner – it was fantastic!

So we decided to go here this morning for a Father's Day breakfast and it turned out to be a Father's Day brunch. When we got there we were told it was a 25 to 30 minute wait. Not so much. Waited 55 minutes to get seated. Once seated we waited another 15 minutes before our waiter even came to the table. We finally ordered that took another 30 minutes to get our food. Everyone at the table got their food and I did not. Sat there for 10 minutes before the waiter noticed I didn't have my food. Got my food and it was like I ordered a kids meal. Tonight was our 3rd visit. We have the same sweet server as last time. Tonight we had burgers; I wanted smaller, but only the children's menu has smaller ones. Management must realize that some of us do not want huge portions. It was great, but I brought half of it home. The server must hear and write our commands accurately; I wanted Cheddar on mine, but I didn't get any cheese. I asked what types are available and did not care for the others. I'm not a name, she'll learn to get it right, and the burger was fine. I had the smaller portion of pot roasts, and it was still a lot, on a previous visit.
