"My husband and I visited Luigi’s in Woodway last night and had a disappointing experience. After being seated, we waited almost 15 minutes without anyone approaching our table. We were the only people of color in the restaurant, and two tables that were seated after us received immediate service. At one point, another table even pointed out to the waiter that we had been there first, but he just glanced at us and continued to assist them without a word. To top it off, the hostess had the nerve to say “have a nice night” as we left. The waiter who was serving the other tables was an older white man who walked by us several times while attending to those around us but never acknowledged us. Overall, we were very disappointed with the service we received."

"Today we took a family member to lunch that recently had surgery and is still having to use a cane to walk. She gets around a little slow, so we were behind her. The owner himself took us to be seated, and hurriedly took off to the very back of the restaurant, leaving us to follow. When the family member in front on the cane was finally able to catch up to him, she asked politely if we could be seated closer to the front and nearer the buffet. His response, while looking at her standing there with the use of a cane, was ?well, you?re already here, so what difference does it make?? We had passed several empty tables in the front, so I could not see a problem with this request. He also said it loudly enough that several nearby tables heard him, as well as a couple of the employees. The employees were nice enough to come by the table and apologize for the owners rude behavior, and one of the nearby tables also commented on it. We always look forward to eating there, even if we have to drive 40 miles to do so, but after today, I know of at least 2 groups of people that want be back. Don?t be a rude jackass and expect people to spend their with you. There are dozens of places to eat that will treat their customers with respect."

"Had heard about this place years ago, and after seeing reviews was anxious to try it. But maybe getting there late (45 minutes to close) is not ideal, because I was not impressed. First the good: Friendly staff (although the high school kids at times seemed more interested in their friends that came by outside), good atmosphere with TVs to watch football, and it feels like a BBQ joint. The bad: Almost everything I ate but the sausage. Brisket was bland and dry, despite specifying moist when he asked. Mac and cheese was not terrible, but was too dry and a bit on the bland side. Potato salad may have been among the 10 worst I've had. Again, we may have just got there at an unfortunate time and got the bottom of the barrel pickens. I guess we should have known when the Cafe across the street had a full parking lot and Coach's had one car."

"If you pass by this place and don't try it once you might just end up kicking yourself later. Great place. Randy and his wife Gretchen are kicking some serious sandwich A . Not one thing that is on the menu is bad and the light wheat is damn near the best bread I've ever eaten with a sandwich. The pies and desserts are homemade wonderfulness. If I lived closer then I'd be bigger than I am. Great place to dine, Great people, really cool atmosphere tucked in an antique shop. They also make jams and jellies and salsas etc....My dang mouths watering just writing this post. (P.S. if your a piemento cheese fan, they have some great stuff, and if your trying to decide if you should get the fried bologna or not, just do it....it's better than it sounds."
