"I wanted to love the place and made a special trip to try it early, before the rush. Looks like half of the people are locals, so a good sign. The atmosphere was a bar, and we were not locals, so no smile or Howdy for us. We tried to make cancers as they are in high season, so we split a chef. It was very spicy as I like it, but my company could not cost much because the regular cooking season was too hot. They forgot the sausage, so they brought uncut, hydrated sausages later. It was meh. The full shrimps tasted. The crust fish were overcooked, so stick to the bowl. Peeling and food shrimps were good. But her crab was excellent. The beer was cold and good choice. Everything in there, we just spent north of a hundred for two people. Cooking over all- much better places in Nashville fora (especially on Nolensville street) and because I'm not within walking distance, this is a pass for me."

Awesome place. A hidden gem. Oysters were huge, red beans and rice was awesome, and chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious. Kelsey the bartender was great as well. I will be back.

Great atmosphere and great oysters! We had oysters fried three kinds, rockefeller and carved. Personally I liked the best carburized, nothing wrong with the order two. The cheese was great on charcoal. I'm sure I'm back!

The chargrilled oysters were GREAT! I like the pastured catfish and cajun mashed potatoes but the crab meat batter was TOO sweet. It tasted like a sweet roll versus a crab cake ?. Overall great service and worth the wait. I will definitely be back!!

This place is really a hidden gem and the food is sooooo good. The chargrilled oysters are seasoned very well and you get huge raw oysters. The grits in the shrimp and grits were very well flavored. I?m glad there is a place nearby that actually gets Cajun/creole food right. View menu

I have the Cajun trio that had etouffs, red beans and rice and Jambalaya. All three were really good, and the Jambalaya was my favorite of the drought. The Boudin balls were pretty good, and I liked the sauce. The cooked shrimps were decent, but could have used more spices, and I wasn't really a fan of butter. The fried pickles were average and the Daiquiris were fine.

I’ve been several times and try something different each visit since the menu is quite extensive. Never disappointed with anything but my favorite is creating my own dinner! Blackened red snapper with Louie sauce and Cajun mashed potatoes has been the best combo so far. The service never disappoints either. The staff is fun and very interactive. My husband and I always end up fat and happy when we leave. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We love everything that we had ordered at Cajun Steamer Bar and Grill. It was Saturday night, the line was outside the door but once we got to our table our orders came out fairly quickly. Our server and the hottest were nice and prompt. We were staying at the Courtyard by Marriott and want to grab a bite without having to drive. It was the perfect walking distance for us and the food was delicious! The price was not bad for all the foods and beverages that we ordered! View menu

We've been coming here a long, long time. This restaurant hasn't disappointed; it endures in an area where restaurants tend to come and go for a reason. The Cajun influence is obvious and proud. The food is as good as anything in New Orleans. When you go to a regionally inspired restaurant and it's consistently filled with people from that region, you know it's good. If it sounds good, try it. But I can recommend the Boudan, the gumbo (they have several types the ya ya is my favorite), and anything to do with crawfish.

We went to dinner after work and it smelled amazing when we went in. Neighbourhood bar feeling, many Cajun goodies on the menu, good beer selection and service was great. I had a Cajun Ribeye that, when I rarely ordered, was actually rather blue. I eat very rarely, but that was close to returning it. I saved it, took it home and heated it up again. My side was a cancer etouff and it was delicious! Dessert was deep roasted cheesecake and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had was an When Harry hit Sally moment safe. Here?s the breakdown: Good food 1 star; cold beer 1 star; great service 1 star; FRIED CHEESECAKE 1.000.000 stars. I was back and I'll go back.
