"I was really disappointed with my experience. This was my second visit to the restaurant. During my first visit, I sat on the patio where there were a lot of people smoking, which was unpleasant. The chicken I had then was just average. Yesterday, we decided to try takeout and placed our order at 4:00 PM for a chicken and rib dinner. Unfortunately, both the chicken and ribs were overcooked. The ribs still had the silver skin on the back, which was not great. Additionally, we didn't receive the coleslaw side that we paid for. It would also be helpful if you communicated any surcharges for credit card payments and takeout orders. On a positive note, the bartender was friendly, but we did feel uncomfortable as two older men at the bar kept glaring at us. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience. "

Excellent burgers, the homemade fries were about as good as you're going to get. Friendly servers. I would definitely stop there again! View menu

Great music, great view from outside seating, and seriously amazing food. Honestly I want expecting such good food from a bar, but it was fantastic.

We stopped in for lunch on a monday. Sat by a window overlooking the lake. Nice view. My spouse and I each had the ruebin sandwich. The waitress was prompt and pleasant. The tap beer we ordered was icy cold. The food we had was unbelievable. We were both stuffed. And for avery reasonable price! Two thumbs up Cedar chest!! View menu

10-11-2019 Friday after the meat raffle in Crosslake. The place was packed. We got the last empty table. Lots of noise volume. But it was really crowded. We ordered drinks and a meal. My wife and I split the Blue Burger with beer battered french fries. That half sandwich was plenty big, and good. I?ve never had beer battered fries. I must say, they were very unique, and quite tasty.

"This was probably the worst dining experience of my life. We should have immediately left the building when it was literally deserted, we were the only ones there most of the time (except for the one person who came in for the bar). Lets start with our waitress, Joey, we couldn 't get her to leave us alone to choose a drink (once we actually convinced her to give us the drink menu). After that we couldn 't get her to come back to order the meal. Which was weird since we were the only ones in the whole place. But I know she was there cause i could hear her and the bartender laughing about something. Once we ordered (two Parmesean crusted walleye, and a rack of ribs) it made sense then why she laughed and told us she had no idea where to walleye came from (without offering to check). This walleye probably came from the bottom of an old bucket of fish. I put one bite in my mouth and could not even swallow. It was the most disgusting thing ive ever eaten. And the crusted walleye was soggy and greasy. I immediately sent it back without ordering something else, because at that point i was sick to my stomach. The ribs im told were dry and lackluster. The whole place had an an atmosphere of a 6th grade gymnasium dance right down to the Christmas lights lining the ceiling. Absolutely do not go here! You will regret it, and they should be ashamed to actually be serving people what they call food. Its not."
