"I really wanted to support this business, especially it being a local black-owned business. I was hungry and wanted to give them a try. However, my experience there the other day, disappointed me. I ordered a catfish dinner, which somehow took 40+ minutes to get to me, despite the place not being busy at all. Also, I ended up getting charged an extra $5 somehow (probably by mistake). When I ate the actual food, the catfish was a bit...basic...in flavor, and the fries were dry and bland. The cole slaw was surprisingly good tho, and I generally hate cole slaw!I really wanted to support that business, but I probably won't be back."

Ms. Bea is the best spot for delicious, well-cooked fish. She truly cares about her customers!

The food is consistently good, but the service tends to be slow. However, Ms. Bonnie, I believe that's her name, is always very nice.

This restaurant has been a staple in the community for many years. With Williams no longer in business, Central Seafood is now the go-to spot for the best fried fish for the Black community. View menu

I live in the neighborhood and have known Ms. B. for years. A friend from the area mentioned to me that Central Seafoods closed for good on May 27, 2022 (last Friday). I'm not sure if this is accurate, but I'll look into it soon and provide an update.

I bought food for my mother, she loves their shrimp. The lady at the counter never spoke but the lady that was cooking was very friendly. I waited way over 30 minutes from the time I called in my order. I will call in my order a lot earlier if I decide to go back.

I waited over an hour and a half after calling in, when I was told it would take 35 minutes. I ordered a catfish filet but received three small pieces of fish that weren't catfish, along with cold fries. The caramel cake was decent but sliced very thin. Overall, it definitely wasn't worth the $19. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. View menu

I stopped by after taking my kids to the museum, and we were really hungry. It took the server a moment to take my order, but once she did, the food arrived fairly quickly. It was hot, which is a plus, but unfortunately, that’s about all I can say. Everything could have used a bit more seasoning; while it was perfectly crispy, the flavor was lacking. I had the fish and fries, and there’s not much more to mention. I just wish it had a bit more taste.

Where to start... the food is good! They really have a lot of flavors to be fried fish! My mom comes here almost every Friday and really enjoys the catfish steak. I liked the steak but I am not a huge fan of the amount of bones in there! But it was still delicious. I tried the regular catfish fillet and my husband got the catfish steak! Man my food was good!! ' My fries were cold but it could have been because we ordered our food ahead. They take a while in there to make and cook the food but when I say it 's worth it.... It 's worth it!! Pros Convenient Good food Tasty Cons Take awhile to put order through.

"My son was in from California so we wanted to take him to Tony’s. We have been before and think highly of the restaurant. Positives: Calamari, wedge, steaks and pasta were very good.Positives: My mother who is very picky loved her steak although she did send it back because it was not hot when it came to the table. She still raved about it even after that. That is really something.Negatives: Lobster tail was so over cooked it came out all curled up. It took me a minute to even figure it out. I sent it back. They asked if I wanted another one. I said “no”. I was getting full anyway so no reason to add another to the bill since they obviously do not know how to cook it. Suggestion if you don’t know how to cook it then take it off of the menuNegative: Preoccupied waiter. I would have gotten a glass of wine with dinner. Waiter never asked. I have been to Tony’s before and have had very attentive waiters. Not this time.Negative: Not Tony’s fault but a large table by us were drunk and very loud. Negative: I have no desire to come back. Their steaks are very good but if you can’t cook a lobster tail it puts Tony’s as a great steakhouse in Indy at the bottom of the list. Their credibility is gone to me. Suggestion: Bringing a nice piece of desert to the table on the house would have been a nice gesture and then I may have wanted to come back. They had a full house so a party of was probably not a priority"

"Inside, you’ll find seating at tables and the bar, along with a pleasant patio area that overlooks the sidewalk. They also have a self-serve water station in the front. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. I chose to sit at the bar, and it appeared to have not been wiped down all day. The floor was quite dirty as well. The staff did what was necessary, but seemed to lack enthusiasm. You can customize your own bowl or select one of their signature options. Feeling adventurous, I decided to create my own bowl. Regardless of your choice, you start with a base. I opted for traditional sushi rice over brown rice and spring mix salad. Next, I had to select a protein. The size of your bowl determines how many scoops you receive. The regular size allows for two scoops, so I chose one scoop of spicy tuna and one of marinated salmon, although options like octopus, tofu, and shrimp are also available. After that, you can add various toppings and sauces. I have to admit, my bowl was quite tasty and packed with protein. The atmosphere was relaxed, with music playing softly in the background. Unlike the other location I've visited, this one doesn't offer shaved ice, just poke. Overall, I found this place to be just average compared to other locations I've tried, which is why I’m giving it a 3-star rating. The poke was decent, but everything else felt pretty standard at best."
