"I sampled a variety of dishes, including the grilled pork sandwich, special combination pho, combination fried rice, and the combo vermicelli (bun dac biet). Starting with the sandwich, I was surprised that it wasn't made in a more traditional style with pâté and other typical ingredients, which was my oversight. However, I would have been okay with that if the portion had been small, but the pork was excessively salty. Afterward, I tried the pho to help balance out the saltiness, only to find that it was salty as well. While some might enjoy it, I found the broth to be more herbal than what I'm used to, so it really depends on your personal preference for pho. The fried rice and vermicelli dishes were generous in portion size, but the fried rice felt like a random mix of everything, using the usual frozen vegetable mix, and the bacon on top was unexpected. It was just average, and I wouldn't order it again. The only dish I would actually recommend is the bun/vermicelli, which was plentiful and flavorful. I want to give this place another try, given the many positive reviews, but the flavor-to-price ratio I experienced is making me hesitate."

"My husband and I were visiting CT for the day and happened to stumble upon this Indian restaurant quite by accident when we were heading back to NY. We decided to stay for dinner since we enjoy Indian cuisine and have it in NY quite often. The food was surprisingly as delicious as we have in NY. They have a very wide selection of choices on the menu. We ordered the vegetable Samosas, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Biryani and appetizer/meals were delicious!! Our waiter, Tom, gave us such wonderful service, he was very polite and very attentive to our selections and even offered some suggestions that we may like. The atmosphere is simple, pleasant and appeared to be very clean. My only slight disappointment was that the Garlic Naan wasn’t very hot when they brought it to the table, however, I am still giving 5 s because the food and service was so fabulous. I totally recommend this restaurant and when I am in town again we will stop in for dinner:"

"Went here for the Golden Gays brunch on 4/14. It was my first time here. Cute little place minus the construction in the front) and they were PACKED for this event. My girlfriend and I ran late, and didn't have a table to sit at.. Mike managed to get a table and set us up by the vault which was pretty cool, and much appreciated!)Once seated, I noticed about 4-5 servers running like CRAZY. It took us a while to get menus, but once we did, we met our waitress Elaine. Food and drinks also took a while, I ordered the chicken francese and a sex on the beach.. however once I got my food, it was cold. I told Elaine and she was very quick to rectify it. Once remade, it was delicious, definitely recommend. My girlfriend got the ravioli with meatballs- the meatballs were HUGE and she said they were very flavorful.Getting the check after the show was a whole big to-do as not only did one of their computers go down on probably one of the busiest days they've had, but a group of NINE wanted NINE DIFFERENT CHECKS from Elaine Ms. Sherry who posted her 1 star review was one of them- and many of them in that party complained about everything from the start. I was seated right across from them). Needless to say, they caused more congestion. But- BUT, one of the long time workers, Marissa I will never forget her) cleared out the 9 drunken old ladies, myself and 3 other people behind me in about 10 mins! I have never seen someone move so swiftly and efficiently at a cash register!I stayed around after Marissa cashed me out she is an absolute sweetheart and i could see the day had gotten to her) just to learn more about them and the place. I found out that 2 workers called out on the day of this event, it was only Elaine's THIRD shift, and they had other people to come in to help them. They were overwhelmed and it showed but they did the best they could and I went from being frustrated to understanding.This one event does NOT represent the people who work here and the food they serve. Elaine, Mike, Marissa and Dave who I spoke to tonight to make my reservation for NEXT month) are people who love what they do and serve really good food! They know they have kinks to work out which is why I am willing and excited to go back next month for the 2nd Golden Gays brunch."

"as a new jersey native and someone who works at a pizza place, I have to leave a comment. Starting with the crust, it is very thin and crispy with pretty good char on the edges. I ordered a plain and a pepperoni. The plain slices hold very nice and foldwithout flopping. The pepperoni slice was a bit more floppy but still really good. I'd give it a 7.8. The cheese tasted prettyhigh quality, I'd give it a 8.9. the sauce was definitely the best part. I've tried quite a few places around the new haven areabut this sauce is by far the most balanced and well seasoned. I'd give it a 9.2. Overall the pies were great and all my roomatesenjoyed it as well. Will definitely order again and try out some of the specialty pies."

"I am appalled by the owners sons attitude ,lack of professionalism and empathy for the elderly .In error I ordered take out for about 38.00 .IThe owner was very nice when he took the order and I gave him my credit card upfront, which he billed.I realized that in error I ordered from this restaurant which is over an hour away from my home,I was waiting outside at the restaurant close to me when I realized something was wrong because they didn't have my order. I am elderly and somehow,i must have read the wrong number ,I called and spoke to the owner,,he was busy and said he would look at it later and take care of it then. I called back because I retire early and wanted to be reassured that the credit was returned to my card.I spoke to the owners son,He was so nasty to me, disrespectful ,defensive and very unprofessional and refused to credit me . The owner had been so nice initially and I would have written a review about how understanding he was as I believe he meant to credit me.I can't comment on the food or ambiance however ,I do not know any restaurant owner that would not credit someone that's elderly and made an honest mistake and was apologetic about it,, Price per person: 30–50 Service: 1"
