"**Pros:** The food was mostly good, the ambiance was lovely, the restrooms were clean, and the servers were kind and friendly. **Cons:** The biggest drawback that led us to give a 3-star rating was the long wait. We had an 8:15 reservation and arrived at 8:10 but weren’t seated until 8:50 PM. It was quite cold outside, and there was no designated area to wait indoors, so we ended up awkwardly huddling with other groups in corners, trying to stay out of the way of the servers. Our first appetizer didn’t arrive until 9:30 PM, which was an hour and 15 minutes after our reservation time, and we finished our meal and left at 10:30 PM. While the servers were busy yet attentive, it seemed like the kitchen was the root of the delay. I noted that the food was "mostly" good because my husband’s steak frites were not very impressive, but everything else I tried—including the crab cake beignet, heirloom salad, and duck—was quite good. The restaurant week menu offered a good value for our meal. We had hoped for a better experience, as we really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. However, the lengthy and uncomfortable wait definitely put a damper on our evening."

On street parking avail at 1200, busier later in afternoon. Croque Madame was flavorful and large portion. Neighborhood is partly vacant for lease buildings.

The service was terrible. It took more than an hour for our appetizers to arrive, and there were several unhappy diners around us. The restaurant did not take responsibility for the long wait times. I won't be returning.

Restaurant Claudine was one of my favorite SA restaurants but sadly it has lost its pizazz. The duck was so gamy it was inedible. The escargot was good but not nearly as good as the escargot they used to serve. Really, everything was just meh View menu

We went to brunch on a Saturday for the first time and we couldn’t believe we hadn’t been to this place before. The food, drinks, service, and vibe were great ! If you haven’t been I would go and for sure try the Blue Crab beignets! You won’t regret. Also be sure to make reservations :

We celebrated mom's 82nd birthday here and really enjoyed our time. Wonderful cocktails and I was thankful for the great list of mocktails! The food was flavored well chicken and waffles phenomenal, shrimp and grits; however, mom's was the only one that was served hot (shrimp grits). The other 2 orders were lukewarm at best. Everything else was superb and we will definitely give Claudine"s another try.

Our server was knowledgeable, welcoming, and made us laugh, she was a treasure. The food was phenomenal, I had the fried chicken with fermented hot honey and my wife had the gumbo. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, seasoned all the way through, and the portion was larger than I expected! I tried my wife’s dish and enjoyed how thick and dark the roux was, definitely a must try if you enjoy a comforting bowl of gumbo. The restaurant itself is a small, older house that has soft lighting and a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere, even seated next to the entrance we were comfortable and could admire the beauty of location. Give this place a try, you can’t go wrong! View menu

We were seated promptly, but then had to wait an hour for our appetizer and another 45 minutes for our salad. The main course arrived quite quickly after that. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat my steak as it was extremely tough, and the fries tasted like they had been reheated. I informed the server that I didn’t want my meal and explained why. He responded, saying he would check on it and took the plate away. He returned with a bowl of reheated fries and offered his apology. In the end, he removed the cost of my meal from the bill without me needing to ask. I really wanted to enjoy this place since it's close to home and we go out every weekend. At least the cocktail was good.

Food was great and the restaurant itself is very cute. Enjoyed the variety and uniqueness of the cocktails. The restaurant gets quite busy and was quite loud even without music. Food was worth the decibels though. The server was also quite personable and made good recommendations. Felt like she was rounding on us frequently enough that we didn't feel neglected, but not so much that we would have been annoyed with her presence. One slight factor we didn't quite enjoy was how long our table was for two people, meaning that we were sitting quite far from each other making it difficult to talk sometimes with the other diners talking as well. Not enough of an annoyance to keep us from going back...
