"Yes, please. The Continental Divide never disappoints. The Continental Divide is a unique blend of casual elegance, cheerful lightness and epicurean delights from the Big Sky Country. An authentic bistro, the Continental Divide is located in a log cabin with a range of seating, including interiors in the cozy lodge and outdoor seating on the covered veranda with unobstructed views of the Madison mountains. We have eaten in this restaurant for 10 years, sometimes trips from the Austin, Texas area, just so we can get this fabulous Madison Valley favorite. Owner/ Chief Eric Trapps seasonal menu specifically ignores the classification. For beginners all appetizers were sent, only for the sheer joy to find out how the cook blends so beautiful aromas. Personal favorites are the Escargots a' La Burgundian and the Baked Brie in Phyllo about cool Pear Puree; the aromas are so melted that they were perfectly aligned. We fought for Entrees who was the best. I announced at the first bite that someone could taste my sauce at the table, but they had to stay away from the protein. It was so tender, well stuffed, and mouth tingling, that I could simply not get a Christmas spirit to share. If you have never tried Slow Roasted (7 hours) Long Island Duck, you need to get this duck. I absolutely loved the smooth, hearty taste of Duck with the tempting surprise of Apricot Mango Glazes. Wow! ...and there are many wines to choose, the meal was nothing short of unforgettable, excellent, divine. How many restaurants you go and remember exactly what you had, how it tasted, how it paired with wine... just so special. I can recite any food I've ever eaten in the Continental Divide."

Had the Crispy Duck and it was really good! Steak was good too. Mac and cheese was just okay.

Delicious! The flavor combinations were superb. This is by far the best moose I've had in my 23 years in Montana. The bison was also fantastic and not overcooked. The intimate setting and good service added to the experience. The quail appetizer was excellent as well.

The duck entree was excellent and so were the oysters. Friendly but untrained staff. The loaded baked potato came unloaded and cold, after sending it back it was singed at the edges. The wagyu burger ordered medium rare was served well done, imagine the well done burger! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ View menu

What a hidden gem! We don’t often eat out, but when we do, we seek out treasures like this one. It was truly a delightful experience. The pork chop special was fantastic, and the duck was incredibly tender. Above all, the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Debbie, was wonderful, and the chef even came out to make the meal feel extra special. Thank you for a unique experience! If you're in the area, be sure to check this place out! Service: Dine-in.

Our family had an excellent meal that was perfect for celebrating a birthday! One of the highlights was the Walleye, which was incredibly fresh, fluffy, and delicate, complemented by a delightful butter honey sauce. The bison was tender and had no gamey taste at all. The Steak au Poivre was cooked to perfection and came with a delicious sauce, fresh vegetables, and a wonderful potato scallop. For dessert, we indulged in the Grand Marnier cheesecake and chocolate mousse, both of which were delightful!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for dinner, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. Every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a 5; the staff was attentive and made us feel welcomed throughout our meal. The atmosphere was delightful, creating a perfect ambiance for our evening out, and it too deserves a 5. Overall, the dining experience was worth the price range of $50–100 per person. I highly recommend this restaurant! View menu

Incredible experience! For a city with a population of just 804, I had one of the best gourmet dinners I've ever enjoyed. We began with cold smoked lamb tongue, which was simply delightful. I chose the elk prepared with lavender and Dijon mustard, cooked to perfection at medium-rare. My husband opted for the veal osso bucco, which was comfort food at its finest. We concluded our meal with a Grand Marnier cheesecake with an Oreo crust and some homemade ice cream. My husband said it was one of the best meals he's ever had, and considering my extensive travels and passion for food, I have to agree—he was absolutely right!

During our fly fishing trip to Yellowstone, we spent a week in Ennis and came across this restaurant while checking out reviews on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot with a group of six, allowing us to sample a diverse range of dishes. The standout items were the wagyu Bavette, the duck, and the ribs. Each dish was expertly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The service was excellent, and it was clear how much pride the chef takes in his creations. I only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our trip so we could have visited again. The Sangria was also a delightful refreshment after a long day of fishing. We can’t wait to return!

"We went to Ruston tonight and while the food was very good, the service was terrible. They were not very busy when we arrived. Our drinks were almost always empty, we kept having to ask for refills and the waitress seemed to have an attitude and acted inconvenienced every question or request we had. On one refill my husband got sweet instead of unsweetened tea, and when he asked her to fix it, she sat there for a good thirty seconds looking at him like he was stupid or she didn’t understand the problem. The food took forever to come out, but when it did arrive it was hot and tasted good. The tomahawk was disappointingly small for the large price tag. Was also disappointed by the tiny kids menu. 2 choices; grilled cheese or chicken tenders. You could do better. Over all we were impressed with the quality and flavor of the food, but very put off by the service. It ruined our dinner. When I’m paying over $400 on a meal, I expect to be wined and dined and treated like you are at least happy I’m there. Especially when you add gratuity (we had 7 people) and get more than $50 tip for subpar service. Also when I took my daughter to the restroom, our waitress was in there visiting with (I’m assuming) another waitress in the stall. When we came in our waitress told the person in the stall “ok I’m gonna head back out” and then left without washing her hands. Then the person in the stall finished her business, flushed, and also exited without washing her hands. Disgusting and unacceptable. I don’t think we will be back. I can go other places with the same quality food and price tag, and actually get treated with concierge customer service."
