Such a cozy place!! Had the Prime Rib fried shrimp with a double baked potato. The steak was cooked just the way we liked it, very tender delicious! We also ordered the Poor boy with American Cheese on one side and Motz. Cheese on the other. Just added pickles. Very good! The beef noodle soup was very good hearty as well!! The salmon and steak we ordered were disappointing— the salmon was fishy and unseasoned, and the ground beef with cheese definitely didn’t qualify as steak. The asparagus and chicken noodle soup we had were equally lackluster. I’m baffled by the positive reviews this place has received; perhaps some diners prefer bland, uninspired meals akin to what is served in nursing homes? I really couldn’t say. I do feel bad for the waitress; I couldn’t help but laugh when she asked how the food was! Nevertheless, I made sure to leave her a generous tip.
