"During a busy lunch hour our service was very polite and I could say my waiter worked hard to ensure that all the tables he was responsible were satisfied. My friend and I shared a wonderful appetizer the egg rolls du Jour were a honey/Siracha chicken combo. They had a little more sauce, but as a whole amazing! Our lunches were right, my friend had the meat she really loved, and I had the 1/2 sandwich of the day (Roast beef and provolone with a kind of delicious sauce) and a house salad. The salad was full and green and had many fresh products. They also have quality ranch . Overall we were in and out in a little over an hour and it was very full and delicious at a really good price for the quality of food and service we received! I'm back! Loved the anniversary dinner. Scallops were amazing, sauce tremendous with jalapeno kick. Steak melting and lobster mash great. Had cheese and broccoli soup before and it was too die for. Place, very small, much smaller than I was thinking. Smaller than Simon's.

The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and fast. The bar had a cozy atmosphere. The meat we enjoyed was some of the best I've ever had. The drinks were good, though I prefer them a bit stronger—just a personal preference. I will definitely be returning regularly.

Normally, small dives have a dive like menu. Not Cooper’s — here is a menu that can compete with fine diner taste against the West Des Moines best. The atmosphere is charmingly refreshing. The menu caters to the top best meat and sea food selections. The Beef Short Ribs were off the bone tender and flavorful— more than enough to eat in with some to take home as a night cap treat!

Following the recommendations of previous reviewers, I made a reservation ahead of time, which I highly suggest since the venue is on the smaller side. Really lovely experience! Our first time experience the welcoming staff accommodations and kitchen talent made the night start to finish unforgettable! I had never had short ribs before/ they fell from the bones! Amazing!
