"I had high hopes for this dinner. I’m latina and was craving a good ropa vieja. I made a reservation for an inside table but had to ask for an outside one because it was freezing in the restaurant. It was a gorgeous evening at the shore, so that was a great switch anyway. The service was very, very slow: servers coming to greet or acknowledge me/us, waiting for drinks also felt like a long time. The food does not taste typical. Not sure if it’s by design, to accommodate to the American palate or just inexperience with the cuisine. The chicken in the chicken empanadas was hard, so weird. The dough was delicious, the filling wasn’t. Not horrible but overall fell short. The ropa vieja was very bland, even after I added salt and pepper. "

Service was painfully slow and the food lacked flavor. This was our second and last attempt at this restaurant. Even the desert which was incorrect, was brought out a second time incorrectly. What a shame. I wanted this to be a win but instead was a waste of time and money. Fail

It took awhile to be noticed (over 30 mins), but once waitress Josie came out, she immediately recognized us, serviced our table! She was fantastic, responsive, accommodating, patient, very friendly! We are coming back to see her! Food drinks were good, flavor profile not typical of Cuban cuisine (more bland). Outdoor seating was nice for a beautiful view of the beach. Bussers were friendly!
