"Dawson 's had been on my list for years but kept slipping for one reason or another. Finally had the chance to go during Sacramento 's annual Dine Downtown week, where local restaurants develop a three-course prix fixe $45) menu there are usually 1-2 options for each course). Dawson 's menu looked particularly good so figured this was the best time to give it a go. Parking was super-easy it 's inside the Hyatt Regency) and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. Our server Arby) was the perfect balance of personable and professional. The pacing of ordering and receiving our drinks and the courses was spot-on. The salad course was very good albeit slightly overdressed) and the main hanger steak) and dessert key lime cheesecake) were outstanding. I opted for the wine pairing which worked very nicely with the food options I 'd selected. Everything was great and I 'll definitely bump it higher on my list as the regular menu looked really really nice too."

Another great meal at Dawson's with excellent service. We love dining at Dawson's before attending Broadway Sacramento. Staff is attentive without being obtrusive, the meals are prepared to perfection, and the servers are very knowledgeable about the menus as well as the wine list. Since this is a special treat, we don't mind splurging a bit to enjoy a great meal.
