"Food: 4/5 (solid, lovely bbq!)Service: 5/5 (staff was amazing and works hard for their customers)Atmosphere: 5/5 (very upbeat, focuses on bbq)As you get closer, you can smell the beautiful aroma of smoked goodies coming from DOC's Commerce Smokehouse. What a lovely restaurant! I love the atmosphere, bbq decor, and how the whole restaurant focused on bbq, down to the bathroom. The service was lovely! We had a nice size group, and they didn't get any of our orders wrong, and they worked very hard. The food was amazing! The food was modern and innovative, which shows their appreciation for bbq. Also, the portion sizes are great, no baby food! All in all, DOC's Commerce Smokehouse is a lovely delicious restaurant!Vegetarian options: Unless you're coming for a salad or sides, DOC's is probably not the best for vegetarian meals.Kid-friendliness: The kids' menu is so great. They can color and pick their food right from the coloring/kids menu! Kids are welcomed.Parking: Theirs alot of construction around the restaurant. There was street parking, but it was best to secure parking in the area and walk around downtown Milwaukee.Wheelchair accessibility: There's wheelchair accessibility at DOC's. Nice size restaurant."

The chicken was slightly burnt super dry and too hard to cut with the plastic cutlery provided.

This is the best brisket we have ever had in the Milwaukee area! The meat is always delicious and fresh, and they even give you the choice of lean, fatty, or a mix of both.

I went in with high expectations for barbecue. But The food was a ok. Ribs and brisket were a little dry (no smoke ring on the meat). The fried pickles were not really breaded and were soggy. Prevention was good. Staff was very friendly.

Love Doc's. The Texas Fries (Brisket, cheese, sauce,, jalapeños over fries) are awesome. Brisket is always great. Awesome big bar with huge whiskey and beer selection. Great location right next to the convention center.Dietary restrictions: Emailed about allergies. Got a great response and kids ate and were safe. Waitress was very familiar with meat and sauce ingredients. View menu

You must go on a weekend. They sell a $5 **** Mary that comes with an Alabama Wing, which is really a BBq rib.Staff was terrific. Our server Nora, was spot on very nice polite.Food was excellent. The ribs remind me of the kind I make. So I might be impartial. They have 5 different sauces on the table. The spicy is legit, don't go crazy if you're not really into hot stuff.Highly recommend.

Service is 5 stars, Zoey is great and always there for whatever you need. While the food was good I don't give 5 stars maybe because my standards are really high.Brisket was tender but a bit dry and a bit cold, maybe it was sitting on the counter for a while.Ribs are good, no complaints.Sauces are a bit tangier than expected but besides that the Texas Heat and Arizona White are my favorites. You should not miss the Brisket Chilli!!! it's loaded with meat and it's just delicious.

Top notch service, fun atmosphere, great value for what you pay, tasty food! The loss of one star on food is wishing that they had another healthy alternative to the house salad and collard greens. I totally get that I'm in a place that specializes in meat. This was my husband's top choice and I wanted to accommodate. It's a very open space so noise carries easily. But the decor was fun to admire! For someone who doesn't gravitate to BBQ or smoked meats, job well done!Vegetarian options: Very minimal, one salad and a few sides View menu

Absolutely amazing everything every time we come here. Most recent one today, Father's Day, was the best. All of us are super impressed with everything especially our server. I never could remember names but he was superb. He interacted with our 3 year old boy just perfectly! Our son was so comfortable talking to him and they even served us food with the robot even though they're generally for take-outs! What an outstanding show of service! Happy Father's day to our server too!Kid-friendliness: They had kids menu with crayons but the top-notch part is interactions with our server. Kids crave the ability to have conversations and being heard. Our son definitely got that today!

We were visiting Milwaukee and tried DOC's. We ordered the 2 meat combination platter with pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was very good. You could taste the smoke and it was incredibly moist and tender exactly how brisket should taste. The pork was also very good but slightly dryer than I prefer, but still a solid pulled pork. We also ordered a side of sausage. It was ok, not as flavorful as I prefer. I had fries and coke slaw as sides. The Cole slaw tasted like it had vinegar in it I know that is a Cole slaw style, just not my preference. The fries were good. Overall, it was a good meal, I would go back but next time I would only order brisket. That was some good brisket!

"This restaurant was really trying to be the third coast by dumping the entire ocean 's worth of salt into their dishes. I have never been so thirsty in my life the day after I ate here. With the number of great reviews on top of the beautiful interiors, I had such high expectations for this restaurant that I happily brought my partner and his father (who traveled from out of the country to visit to the restaurant. Imagine my disappointment and embarrassment for bringing them here, only to be given overpriced and oversalted food. The only redeeming factors of the restaurant were the interior design (absolutely gorgeous , the potholes (delicious but still salty , and our waitress who served us in the mezzanine on 10/8 (I forgot her name, sorry! . When we first got our appetizer--the mushrooms, we were literally eating a spoonful of salt at a time. I RARELY send back food, but I had to send the mushrooms back before the dish induces any hypertensive emergency among us. After we got the new mushrooms dish after telling our waitress we wanted just 1/4-1/3 of the salt, the dish still came back extremely salty and the waitress said the cook apologized for ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE-SALTING THE DISH. I 'm sorry, but WHAT. All of our subsequent dishes then tasted all just like salt without a hint of other seasoning. I wasn 't sure if it 's because our tastebuds were so skewed after eating so much salt that our remaining dishes just didn 't taste that great. It was just salty. Anyways we walked out with a $260 bill for three people which was outrageous for this quality of food in Milwaukee of all places. I 'm not sure how people are raging about this restaurant. I have sworn to never return and have told others to avoid going to this restaurant altogether. Opt for somewhere else for better quality food that 's actually worth the cost."
