"My family and I've been customers there for a while now. The first time there they forgot something on my mom's order. He gave her the missing items they next time she came back. So we thought no problem. We always spend $60+. I always get the #2 family meal for my children that's what they always eat. Last month, I called in and pickup in drive thru. Got home, realized they forgot 2 items from that order. On top of that my food I ordered was cold. I couldn't warm it up because it had sour cream, lettuce, guac and pico on it. I called the manager which is really a nice guy. Complained of the issue. I was told he'd give me 2 large bag of chips and throw in some queso. That was a month ago. Tonight was treat night Mexican of course. I went in instead of drive thru. I mentioned it to the manager about items missing with my last order and he didn't remember saying that and he knows my name. Which I'd think you were suppose notate things like that. However, sadly to say, tonight they lost 7 customers. I order family meal, and three other menu items. I spent $80 tonight only for my daughter to find hair in the burritos under the cheese. I called the manager again expressing my concern and he made it seem like the hair was mine b/c he didn't know how it could've gotten there. He said his cooks wore hats and face mask. I'm a very honest woman I have no need to get over on anyone. Me and my daughter's hair are braided. Ask yourself, a place you always go, food you've craved and spent that kind of money, why would you put straight black hair in it. My children lost their appetite. How would that benefit a hungry household. Oh and the rice had some type of plastic looking thing in it. The pics are attached also. Very upset, hate for them to loose our business but my husband and I motto is 3 strikes, you're out."

The dining experience and service at this restaurant are excellent. My favorite dish is the fresh guacamole, which is a must-try.

We were passing through Rocky Mount on the way to Hilton Head and saw El Tapatio and decided to go in. We were not disappointed. Definitely go for the fresh guacamole made to order and table side.

I have to say this has been one of the BEST Mexcian food I have tasted thus far!! Staff was very friendly and was affordable. The Guac was made right in front of me and it was HEAVENLY Highly recommend this place!

This burrito was fantastic! It was the best burrito I've ever eaten. It had a creamy sauce on top with salsa and guacamole. What made it even better was that it had five different types of protein in it. Not all burritos are like the ones at Chipotle. This one is the best. View menu

The service at this restaurant was prompt and precise, and the waiter was fantastic. However, we noticed that as closing time neared, they began cleaning, flipping tables, and turning off the TV, signaling to us that it was time to leave whether we were done eating or not. The food was delicious.

I am from the Greenville area and stopped by for a quick bite to eat. I can honestly say that the food was really good. The guacamole tasted authentic and the chicken quesadillas were juicy and cheesy. My friend ordered the shrimp and chicken fajita nachos and they were also delicious. The sweet tea was excellent too. Overall, it was definitely worth the money.

The food at this restaurant was amazing! I had the Carne Asada Burrito without guacamole and it was the best burrito I've ever had. The portions were huge and very satisfying. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla, which was also massive and filled with chicken and cheese. The chips and salsa were delicious, as were the margaritas we ordered - I had a frozen strawberry one while he had a peach margarita on the rocks. The only downside was the slow service at the bar, but the wait was definitely worth it for the incredible meal we had. We can't wait to go back! View menu

Great drinks. Everything else was mediocre at best. Service was poor, our server and another acted like lost puppies whenever we politely asked a question. Not to mention our server looked Caucasian which is never a good sign at a Mexican restaurant, and she didn't know the menu very well. She was klutzy, clueless, and we had to wait for her to come back to get our ticket because she was too busy talking with her coworker. Guacamole was old, fries were so-so, and my fish tacos were just fish and cabbage. Sauce was good but sparse. We had two sets of chips and neither one was hot. Overpriced for the food and service quality we received. We will stick to El Tap for Mexican cuisine from now on.

Stopped here traveling along I64 and we were hungry. The quality of the food was variable but service was terrific. At night the entrance isn't obvious. It is right behind Dunkin Donuts a large restaurant and maybe the construction makes it harder to see. Popular place, local crowd. Chips and salsa and drinks came immediately. Salsa was a bit watery and without spice except cilantro but we were hungry and thirsty and they tended immediately to us. My husband liked his fajitas and they brought him enough tortillas for the contents. I got a combo plate that was lacking in flavor and soggy except for taco shell (beef on taco was very bland). Another table requested some different pepper sauce a...

"Once seated, we hoped the food wouldn't take as long as it did last time, especially after waiting so long for our reserved table. However, after ordering drinks and food, we waited over an hour and a half for our meals. At that point, it was already 8:30 PM, and we asked if there was any bread available since we hadn't expected to still be without dinner. The waitress informed us they had cornbread for $0.75 each, which felt quite ridiculous after everything else. To make matters worse, the waitress came back to inform us that one of the meals we ordered was unavailable after we had already waited so long. It was baffling that this wasn’t addressed beforehand! Another concerning sign was that everyone around us was still waiting for their food as well, with some visibly frustrated customers even getting up to leave. Our meals finally arrived around 8:50 PM. I had ordered a salad with chicken, and the waitress mentioned it was still being prepared—despite it being just a salad. Twelve minutes later, after the rest of our party had already started eating, my salad finally arrived. What shocked me most was the complete lack of apologies or concern regarding our poor experience. Simple gestures like apologies, good customer service, or even offering bread or appetizers could have made a big difference, but that didn’t happen here. I strongly advise against dining here unless you enjoy poor treatment and waiting over two hours for mediocre food. I did hear from some at the table that the mac and cheese was good, but judging by the other reviews, it seems this was just another typical night for them—where the customer is always wrong!"

"Oxtails we’re salty gravy was tasty but were tough portions questionable only gave one plantain on small order and large 2 skimpy pieces meat should be falling off bone but had to pick up and force with my teeth the brown stewed chicken sauce too sweet the rice was good also since using plastic cutlery should use higher quality bc fork broke while trying to pk up the oxtail. The beef Pattie’s were also hard and sat in the oven case too long. I visited from nyc so very familiar with Caribbean flavors and food. Spent 100 and wasn’t worth it. Dined in and charged the same price as take out. Would have taken home to eat but figured the dining experience would have differed. Highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend or return. That’s just my opinion. I went there last year so not sure if it was an off day or different cook. But left with unfavorable experience. This was based on my my my experience and as an owner of a business to call customer a liar is so tacky. Sorry it hit a nerve but that’s what reviews are for to post a review of a personal experienceYou should get a thicker skin as owner and know the saying the customer is always right and additionally if and when someone spends money we have the absolute right to critiqueSo humble yrself and accept and learn from experience to encourage you to do better in cookingIt happens where you’ll have off dayMy goodness I’m embarrassed for you as an owner and I see from other reviews I do not stand alone"
