Service: Takeout Meal Type: Dinner Price per Person: $30–50 Food: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5 The food was mediocre at best, but what really stood out was the unfriendly service. The atmosphere was also lacking, making for an overall disappointing experience."

"Ok, we read the reviews and we definitely wanted to love this place. We had found the restaurant years ago, but we waited for a special occasion. We had out of town guests, so we thought taking them here would be a special treat. The outside views with the stream, bridge and mountains are stunning. However, overall the food was a major disappointment. First, I grew up in the south and what was served was not slaw. This was basically cabbage with vinegar....period....it was extremely strong. One of our guests had the ribeye for $28. The meat was super thin and lacked any flavor. Really, I honestly had never seen such a poor quality cut, and I was embarrassed. I had the fried chicken. It was OK, but I have frankly gotten better from the Ingles deli. My husband had the chicken breast which he said was just dry. Our other guest did get fried shrimp which she said was good. Overall, we were just extremely disappointed. Of course, we have the experience, but we will never return. The only redeeming quality of the place is the view. Considering the price of these meals, it is not worth the drive."

"This place came highly recommended. We were seated and after getting our drinks, we were asked to move tables to accommodate a large party. No problem, as they sat us near a window. The waitress was pretty awesome by answering our newbies questions. We started with the cheesy garlic loaf (half). It arrived very quickly and was HUGE! It was my favorite of all, including the marinara sauce... I ordered the baked pasta dinner with a side salad and my husband ordered the meatball sub with potato salad side. My salad was served in a timely manner and not long after, they brought my husband's dinner but not my pasta dish. Respectfully, he has always waited to eat the main course with me. Approximately 10 minutes later, my dish arrived.. Although, the presentation was beautiful when it was served... I was extremely disappointed that underneath it's beauty, it was swimming in poorly drained pasta water. Instantly, my inner Gordon Ramsay set in! I didn't make a scene, but I did carefully drain the water in an empty container nearby. I could taste the dish potential but the water ruined the flavors. My husband loved his meal, especially the potato salad. (I personally doctored my leftovers for our next nights dinner, adding zucchini, garlic and fresh parmesan)"

"We recently ate here for a casual celebration on our Anniversary. The food was very good and the service was very attentive and kind. Someone mentioned in an earlier review that if another Mexican Restaurant was nearby it would easily put this one out of business thought it was funny because there is literally another Mexican Restaurant right next door. We like El Sureno a little better! Try the “grande” margarita! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"
