"This was my first time trying this Italian restaurant, and overall, it was a good experience. Here’s what my group thought about the meal. The salads, both the Caesar and the Trattoria, were excellent. The dressings were homemade and quite flavorful, and I appreciated that they served the Trattoria dressing on the side. The wood-fired pizza was tasty, although I don’t typically eat pizza very often. My boyfriend and his friends commented that it was a bit soggy, but that was likely due to us adding extra toppings."

Family oriented Italian restaurant. The pizza here is fantastic, and so are the pastas! Great service, and clean dining area.

I'm really hoping the rumors aren't true because this is the best pizza I've ever had, and I've just started enjoying it more frequently.

Absolutely amazing! I dined there for the first time tonight with my son and daughter. The food was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The owner was very friendly, too! We will definitely be back!

NY transplants to VA in search of great pizza. We found it! Delicious, crispy, light, well seasoned and tasty pizza in Alexandria, VA. Will definitely be going back to try the fresh pasta and other pizza. The owner, Joe, was warm and full of hospitality. Fantastic place! View menu

I have a hard time passing up a meatball sandwich, and I'm really glad I didn't today! It may have well been the best one I've ever had. The meat was very flavorful and just firm enough. The perfect amount of sauce. And the bread was crisp and toasty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. I'll be back for another!

As New Yorkers now living in Virginia, we were in search of a large pizza—and we found it! The pizza in Alexandria, VA is delicious, crispy, light, and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely return to try the fresh pasta and other pizza options. The owner, Joe, was warm and incredibly welcoming. A fantastic experience overall!

I absolutely loved it! The pizza was cooked to perfection – there’s nothing quite like a wood-fired pizza oven. The waitress was very nice and friendly, and the bartender was exceptional, going above and beyond as he dashed between the bar and the tables to serve and deliver drinks. Kudos to him! This is a fantastic spot for East Coast pizza and Italian cuisine! View menu

The pizza is fantastic! However, the salad was quite disappointing, particularly considering the price. The atmosphere is very laid-back, and I noticed many regular customers. The owner made the rounds to check on diners, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a positive experience with quick and excellent service. I would recommend skipping the salad, though, as it’s not worth the money.

This place is horrible! This was my red and golden beets salad. I got home and opened my food and this was my salad. 3 pieces of beets. My pasta was soaking in grease and when I called to complain they told me that my food probably went down after 2 hours and there was nothing they could do. My other salad order of salad was wrong! I paid a lot of money for my Easter dinner. I could have gone to domino?s and gotten better food and better prices for sure! I am Italian and I

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"My friends and I went to Cheesetique for restaurant week. We sat outside. The space was great, the weather was great. Upon arrival, it took a server about 15 minutes to come to our table, and that was only after a friend went inside to ask for someone to service us. The server who had served our friends, who had arrived 10 minutes prior, was bartending. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The drinks came out relatively soon after. The food took a normal amount of time to come out of the kitchen. We got the watermelon, quinoa salad and truffle balls as apps. There was no dressing with the salad, just spinach leaves, watermelon, and quinoa. It was very basic. The truffle balls, although good, were balls of cheese. They gave huge cheese balls but only 3 tiny pieces of bread. We ordered a Mac and cheese for the table which was not salted very well at all. For the main course, we ordered gnocchi, pot pie, and braised beef. The beef and mashed potatoes were the best. The pot poe and gnocchi were not nearly salted enough. All the food came out 'warm ' at best. Dessert was fine. Overall, not at all worth the amount we paid for restaurant week. We were left disappointed. The service was slow. I do understand they might have been short staffed, but even waitresses who were not our servers looked as us, after being there for 15 min and walked past. We asked someone to get us water, which was never brought to us, so overall, disappointed in our dining experience, considering how much we paid."
