"My husband and I were looking for someone nearby to eat after I had gotten my hair done, and this restaurant was in the plaza next door to my salon. When I say that the seafood gumbo is the best my husband and I have ever eaten. The spices used were perfectly blended. The gumbo included crawfish tails and shrimp. I've never had seafood gumbo where the shrimp was so flavorful. My husband ordered the catfish platter and I ordered the shrimp platter. We both had waffle fries and side salad with our platters. My husband says the catfish was good and so was my shrimp. I'll most definitely be stopping back in to take some seafood gumbo home with me. It was absolutely delicious!"

Loved it. The gumbo was good. The tamales were better. The grilled snapper with gravy fries was best. The soft shell crab was good too. The staff were really nice to us and attentive. I can't wait to go back.

Best Place for Regular Food in Town. Everything here is great.They have the best Fried Oysters anywhere (good price too)Their Ribeye is an unsung hero. It is one of the best steaks in town for only 19 bucks! Trust me on this one. You would never expect such a high end steak. Yum

Great restaurant for some New Orleans style flavor and cooking. This is one of the few places in Jackson/Madison that comes close to serving creole and Cajun food the right way. I love their gumbo, po’ boys, red beans and rice, and crawfish étouffée. Plenty of festive decor inside and they take reservations. You can even get their gumbo in a gallon-size. I highly recommend this restaurant for some New Orleans flavor.

This is the perfect spot for delicious New Orleans-style cuisine, from their fantastic Red Beans and Rice to incredible Po Boys. Everything I've tried has been absolutely outstanding. I 've already heard about this place but never got around to trying it out. I had been craving some good slightly spicy 'red beans and rice ' that 's exactly what I ordered with extra sausages cut up. I really enjoyed it too. Very nice flavor seasoned good. The sausages had a awesome taste which blended good with the red beans and rice. The staff was nice friendly had my order out in no time. This meal is really enough for two. I definitely will be back to get this again no doubt.

Absolutely delicious! The grilled red snapper was outstanding, with perfectly balanced seasonings that made it so flavorful. The salad was simple, yet the Comeback dressing added a wonderful touch. I don't know their secret for the baked potatoes, but even this seemingly ordinary baked potato was incredibly tasty. I added a bit of butter and enjoyed every single bite. My visit was a great reminder that I need to come to this lovely spot more often. The waitstaff and the owner were very attentive and genuinely friendly.
