"Visited this place while in town this past weekend because of Dave Portnoy's One Bite App. Was suppose to eat inside but my wife got delayed and I had to get takeout for us to eat later. I said what the heck I'll have a drink and sit at the bar and order my takeout and get a feel for the place. Wow, what an operation they run. Several different eating areas, a seperate takeout window and a bar with tables in it with the ballgame on. All employees firing on all cylinders was a joy to watch while I enjoyed my Crown Royal at the bar. As for the food the pizza was the best I have ever had in New Jersey and my wife had Chicken Alfredo and I had the Special Lasagna. Both delish and fresh bread. Thank you, can't wait to come back and sit inside. F Y I check parking here before you go, certain times free certain times you have to feed the meter. Well worth it though. I believe this place offers curbside takeout as well but I'm not sure Also cash only establishment."

This restaurant has a high rating on Barstool. The pizza here is excellent for the area. The crust is a bit too crispy for my liking, but overall it is very good. View menu

Would rate it higher if they took credit cards and didn't have to pay $5 to park. Would also be nice if their ATM was free like Wawa since they don't take credit cards

CASH ONLY!!!! It’s a homey spot with old time vibes. Very thin crust pizza ?? worth a try! Would not recommend the shrimp scampi pizza. It’s a regular pizza with tomato sauce and cheese with small shrimp on top. Was expecting it to be a white pizza.

Great place to go have a delicious meal. The thin crust pizza is fantastic. If you’re a pizza connoisseur you must try it. Excellent and friendly service to go with it. And the house Italian dressing with a salad is also a must. Great experience all around. View menu

The food at this restaurant is exceptional, with a particularly delicious thin crust pizza. A must-try item on the menu is the FED'S FRIES, crispy fries topped with Hot Sauce and their renowned Ranch Dressing (don't forget to ask for extra ranch, it's great on pizza too). You can even purchase a bottle of the ranch to take home with you. You won't be disappointed by the quality of the food. As for parking, it is available in the lot behind the restaurant, though it is pay parking. However, the delicious food makes it worth the extra cost.

Finally got to try this hyped up pie. We ordered plain, pepperoni and onions n peppers pie. Made fresh and piping hot. I ordered them to go but tried the cheese pie right outside the restaurant. The sauce n cheese were amazing. I know this is a thin crust but seemed too thin. A lil more dough would def elevate the pizza to the next level. The pepperoni and onions/peppers pie was also great, crust doneness was also good. Is this pizza good? Yes if u like thin crust. Is this best I ever had? No. Would I eat here again? Not sure. Again, Pizza is great if u like thin crust. Remember it’s Cash ONLY. $15 cheese pie is a good deal but remember it’s thin thin crust. ??

"Maybe it’s just me, but when dining at most restaurants nowadays it feels like a very sterile and transactional process make a reservation, order the food, pay the check, and leave that is until you dine at La Cipollina. Whether it’s your first time dining there, or you’re a regular, every staff member treats guests as if you’re part of their family. This stems from the belief and the training of the owner Anthony. Anthony has had this spot for a LONG time and it seems as though his passion for food and hospitality has not waned in the last 30 years. It’s great to see staff that is excited to be there, to tell you about the specials, and to make you feel as you’re celebrating a special occasion each and every time you dine there. The food is consistently good and that’s bc the quality of the ingredients doesn’t change. As the price of everything goes up, it must be hard for a restaurant to stay consistent, but somehow La Cipollina delivers the meticulous attention to detail that we’ve all come to know and love. I’ve heard some local Freehold folks call this a “special” occasion spot, and this couldn’t be further from the truth. Is it a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, sure but it’s just as awesome to celebrate being alive on a random Thursday night and ordering the fresh mutz and the gnocci thank me later"
