"Cute Italian restaurant near downtown St Charles. The outside has a large mural on the side of the building. When you step in, the inside has a large bar with cute greenery all an overhang. We started out with the bruschetta which was good, but I have had better. Then ordered bread for the table. The French bread they brought was cut into very thin pieces you could pull off and it was amazing! I had the Create De Gallo Alla Vodka pasta and it was excellent. The sauce was a creamy red sauce. I don't usually like sausage that much, but this sausage had a mild flavor to it and seemed of high quality, not super fatty or greasy. I would definitely recommend the meal. However, please not that some of the pictures in the yelp reviews show this as a creamy white sauce. I was a bit mislead by the other reviews. This was not a white sauce. I also had a red sangria with the meal. I would certainly skip that next time. It was a bit tart and I have had much better sangria elsewhere. The folks I was dining with also liked their meals and that group had actually dined there only 2 days earlier and wanted to go back already, Overall, I would go back to this Italian place."

Nothing short of amazing! My wife and I stopped by one afternoon and It was a wise decision. Hands down some of the best Italian food in the Chicago area. Everything (food, staff and drinks), perfect! It's a must try folks, thank me later

The classic and once called Francesca's, is one of the finest Italian restaurants in Saint Charles, Illinois. With a recent beautiful renovation, you will be greeted by charming staff and excellent service. The atmosphere is classic and contemporary Italiano with great spirits and, ooooh, the warm Italian rolls in a basket! The food is delicious and has plenty of hearty portions. My husband and I had a date night at Mio Moro this weekend. We loved the decor and overall atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered the bruschetta, carbonara, and one of the specials, which was huge and left us with plenty of leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed his glass of wine and cocktail. The only thing I wish they had were non-alcoholic drink options (mocktails) other than just soft drinks. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back.

We were at our expected time, but that's where the good experience ended. While I understand that it's busy, we waited over minutes to be acknowledged and Brian (I think) greeted us by setting down used glassware and dirty silverware in his hand by saying "What do you want to drink .. not "Hello, how are you or Happy Mother's Day". Then, with his face turned to another table, he just walked away to go look at another tables food. We proceeded to get up and leave. The manager asked what was happening, I explained, and that was that. Super poor experience. Pretty sad as Francesca's has really fallen off over the years. Simply acknowledging a guest would have fixed the situation
