"Have been a regular customer for some time now, often on Saturdays to enjoy live music. Unfortunately, my recent experience has taken Gates off my list.Upon arriving, I was informed by the hostess that a ticket to the show was required for entry. I gladly accepted the $25 cost and was told to wait to purchase a ticket from her manager.After 15 minutes I asked the hostess again to purchase a ticket, and again was informed to wait for the manager.Finally, the manager arrives and informs me--in a rude and obnoxious way--that they are at capacity and unable to accept walk-ins, despite the hostess confirming that I would be able to purchase a ticket.If the manager had simply informed the hostess that they were at capacity, she could have informed me and several others that were also waiting to purchase tickets, instead of forcing us to stand there for more than 20 minutes. The condescending attitude of the manager only made things worse.It's too bad, because I really enjoyed this restaurant and live music on Saturdays, but their staff is disorganized and disrespectful and I will not be back."

Fantastic find. Was just the 2 of us for dinner, but also Very Family friendly. Yet the wood absorbed any noise.. Portions were generous to the point my wife and I split the Prime Rib. The Cosmos were best I've had at a restaurant.... Everything was top notch! A WINNER!

Nothing special. Mediocre food and drinks. Service was terrible. They brought out our entrees before our appetizer. We wanted to enjoy our appetizer before our entrees. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you first bring out the appetizers, then the entrees.

The food and service were excellent! The kale salad was bursting with amazing flavors! The veggie burger was also delicious, and the ribs and vegan bowl were quite good too. Our only complaint was that the steak was slightly overcooked. After dinner, we enjoyed some pinball! View menu

My husband was excited to order the roast beef special. He asked the waiter 3 times if it was cooked whole then cut , or cut then cooked? The server obviously didnt understand but our meals came and the roast beef was seared on both sides which was exactly how my husband did not want it! He ate it instead of sending it back but it was not to his liking! My salad was very good, but we don't need to go back anytime soon.

The waitress was very nice . I waited for a cheeseburger for almost 1/2 hour after everyone was served their meals . We also found out the next day Wednesday night was a buy one burger get another one for free... Gates did take my burger off the bill which I appreciate. Getting water in our glasses etc wasn't happening.Over all we had a good time but it just seemed there wasn't enough help . My wife did enjoy her tacos .

Gates has seriously upped its game! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised after a recent visit, a major upgrade from our experience a couple years back. The service was noticeably better, attentive and friendly, and the food? We devoured our bowls – I can still taste the freshness of the tuna in mine – and left feeling happy and satisfied. If you haven't been back in a while, give Gates another try – you might be in for a delightful surprise! View menu

Went for brunch on Sunday and had a pretty good time. It's a cute spot, good light and nice atmosphere. It also looks like they have a battle of the bands planned, which seems like it will be really fun.The kitchen was really slow, unfortunately, which was surprising, because they didn't seem overly busy for a Sunday. They didn't serve the table all at once which is always a bit awkward, especially after such a long wait. But the food itself was decent, and the wait staff was pleasant.

First, I ordered a martini, only to find out they were completely out of olives for the entire bar—at 7 PM! Then I ordered an appetizer and specifically asked for it to be brought out before the entrees. Instead, the mediocre wings arrived just 1.5 minutes before the main dishes, and only 4 out of 6 wings were actually sauced. As for dessert, I ordered key lime pie, which the menu didn’t mention contained nuts. However, it was covered in almonds, and my wife has a nut allergy, so we had to send it back.
